We were fortunate to visit when during a time of varied entertainments such as a concert in one corner, a carnival on the outskirts and plenty of places t sit out and enjoy the park. It is also the start of the Freedom Trail which is a good way to walk around Boston's historic sites.

Although it's in the middle of a historical place, there was little historical qualities other than a few statues and plaques. The swan boats were not running. We were disappointed that there wasn't a sign as to when they run. As a first timer to the park, the directional signage was very poor. I feel no need to visit this... More

It certainly was neat to be able to stand on such historic ground! The common has been used as a public spot for gatherings and recreation for centuries. It was a great opportunity to be there.

It's a must go place especially for families with children. Green, quiet and full of squirrels around it's like a heaven in the heart of the city.

Boston Common is a great area to relax away from the hustle of Boston city centre. It's a 50 acre site with plenty of space and Frog Pond, which is great for kids to enjoy the water on a hot day. Ideal for families, couples or basically anybody that wants to chill out. Right next to the Public Gardens and... More

Boston Common has lots of seats just to chill out on and we also had the bonus of listening to students of the Boston College of Music perform on the piano in the open air. There was a lake and play area for children which were well occupied during the warm sunshine. Boston Common is right beside one of Boston's... More

Visually beautiful, lots going on and lots to do in and around the park. We had lemonade near the piano player, yes a piano player in the park. Stopped a police office to ask for directions, he was super friendly and helpful. Love Boston Common!
