I read very mixed reviews about this park, but had to add that I loved my run here this morning. I didn't have a dog and wasn't boating or fishing, so I didn't need to worry about permits. I just had to make sure I didn't run through the bird sanctuary. It was peaceful and beautiful and close to where... More

First of all please be aware that this is a private lake. The city has nothing to do with it. The Lake View Park Commission pays for the warden as well as the upkeep of the lake. Please remember that when you visit. The rules are posted at the ranger station, which is the brown building in the parking area.... More

Yes..I'm a non resident of the Beaver Lake area. Been coming here since a young boy...I'm also very familiar with the Ranger Billy Jenkins. I've seen him endure the most irritating confrontations with people who don't understand the Lake area is not a piece of public property. The Lake owners kindly allow visitors to walk and rest all along the... More

Beaver Lake is a wonderful safe well-maintained place to walk. I completely disagree with negative reviews. My family and friends have walked at Beaver Lake for years. Billy, the warden, has always been professional and helpful. This is a privately owned lake, whose residents generously allow the general public to walk there free of charge. The nominal $50 annual fee... More

The fact that this person they call a warden has been able to harass people and get paid for it for years is atrocious. I read previous reviews before I decided to post a review and just can't believe that this frightening behavior has been allowed to continue. I can understand the resident wanting to scare off visitors but come... More

Why I rated 1 star: * Beaver Lake HOA PRESIDENT... You need to really pay attention to these reviews. You have hired and retained an unprofessional employee/contractor who has the potential to put your HOA into a legal bind with his unprofessional behaviors. Asheville visitors: BE WARE OF BILLY JENKINS (the lake warden) - HE WILL VERBALLY ACCOST AND HARASS... More

We have been staying in Asheville for a couple months and discovered Beaver Dam Lake. We think it is a great place to take a nice (flat) walk through a pretty area. We try to go over there and walk at least once a week. Unfortunately, there's only one small (5-6 cars) parking area and if that's full, you're out... More

If you are not a resident of lake view be ready pay $50/ dog just to walk them and make sure you have vet records and rabies verification on you at all times. I understand having a rabies tag but that is just unexpectedly ridiculous. I thought Asheville was a progressive city and in touch with animal rights. I would... More

If you looking for a place to go and relax - try Beaver Lake. Great walking trail and simple boating. If you have a dog license - Fido will love it. Great stiffs

Enjoy the bike trail and watching the remote sailboats. Wish there was more available parking but guess that helps keep out the rif-raf.
