Watched Houndmouth here in June. Staff was friendly. The sound was really good. Sometimes venues have the volume turned up so high it takes away from the quality of the sound. Not so with the orange peel. Cool indoor aesthetics also.

My boyfriend and I attended a Burlesque show at The Orange Peel. We randomly saw a flyer advertising the event while walking around downtown and decided to check it out. It was so much fun! I highly recommend trying it if you are in Asheville around Memorial Day. The facility is nice - large, clean bathrooms and lots of fans... More

Great space - came here for a concert. Clean bathroom and affordable beer pricing makes me happy. Would attend a show here again if in town.

Saw a show here a gazillion years ago and loved it. Granted, it's not for everyone. It's a smaller venue, but you can get pretty close to the act, and the sound system was great. Acoustics were good. Standing room only gets a little tiring after a while, but it's still a fun way to see a show.

Great props to the staff of the Orange Peel. They were highly organized and kept the crowd calm and organized. The meet and greet went well due to their professionalism. Thank you so much! Only suggestion would be to allow guest in before 8:00. It's cold out there!

One should not go here with high expectations, and we didn't. The band that we went to see is one of our favorites and they put on a great show. Basically, this is a dump that meets the bare minimums for a music hall. Poor amenities and limited seating. The dance floor is small, but adequate if the crowd isn't... More

Standing room only venue. Don't expect fancy or upscale but do expect great music, great acoustics and friendly staff and patrons. Saw Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell here a couple of weeks ago and it was magical. As an extra bonus there is Asheville to explore for food and entertainment options before or after the concert.

First time visit to the peel. Saw Yonder Mountain string band. Very energetic crowd... and the security staff was courteous and did a good job of making sure everyone had a safe fun time. The bartenders were friendly as well as the staff down at the Pulp. Will definitely return if we ever get a chance.

Although the Peel is not my favorite place to see live music in Asheville, I still end up in there up to a dozen times a year. It is the only venue that many of the bands that come to Asheville performs at. What the Orange Peel provides is a large room with a sprung wooden dance floor, in front... More
