I recently visited The Orange Peel for a concert, and overall had a very pleasant experience. It was definitely smaller than I was expecting, so if you have a problem with crowded spaces this may be cause for concern. However, the musician was absolutely wonderful and sounded great in the space. The Orange Peel provided more of an intimate/close space... More

I went to see a concert here and had a great time for most of the show. As the night got later the place started to fill up and finally I had to use the bathroom and could barely get there because all of the people. My husband and I left instead of fighting our way back to our spot.... More

We went here to see a band that we like, and that's all the good I can say about this place: It does attract good bands. What's worst from middle-aged perspective is that you have to stand for the entire show, unless you get one of the small number of seats available. You're standing in a crowd packed into a... More

It is hard to rate a music venue because a lot of it will depend on who is playing. It is a smaller venue, but the stage is pretty high so you can see even if you are in the back and short. It is standing room only, but they do have some stools and tables which is really nice.... More

Was really let down by this place, bands never went on, just a dj playing electronic music, the scene was mostly adults that looked like kids in jnko pants, remember those? You feel time warped back to a house party in like seventh grade for sure. The bar down stairs is a joke, again your friends parents basement vibe. If... More

If I am in Asheville odds are I am there to see a show and I love seeing the acts that visit the Orange Peel. It has great craft beer on tap and the sound system is premium. Security is always top notch so you never have to worry about your safety. High recommend you keep this place on your... More

This is a venue is great to go hear a small band. The have only 30 or 40 seats and most is standing room only. Only beer and wine in a plastic cup unless you go to the club downstairs and you can't bring a liquor drink back upstairs. This is a GREAT place to hear live entertainment so long... More

Our family has had the opportunity to be at the Orange Peel several times...a few concerts and a wedding. The concerts are very intimate and "no frills". Most concerts - you usually stand in a crowd. While the concert is in progress - you can enjoy your favorite beverages from two serving areas - sometimes the alcohol flows free -... More

That's because you're standing already. Fortunately, we got there early and took a stool in the back, but the trade off was losing sight-lines due to tall people. All-in-all a fun venue. Great selection of beers upstairs and hard liquor down. Sound was great. I'd go back.

While in Asheville we were able to get tickets for two great bands at this venue. The sound was great, the facilties were clean, and they even had a hard cider for a non-beer drinker. My only complaint would be it got really crowded for the headliner band. There are VERY few chairs to sit on. After even more people... More
