This theater is what going to the movies is all about. The main theater is huge and well maintained over the years. Very enjoyable experience overall! Infinitely better atmosphere, cleanliness and movie selection than Carolina Cinema or any of the big box movie theaters. Dropped in midday to spontaneously see Kumiko and was pleasantly surprised to be able to purchase... More

The Fine Arts Theatre is a nice size for a small city like Asheville. Two current movies were being played and we liked that one was a foreign-movie. the prices were better than what we pay in a larger city.

Couldn't wait to return to his theater (from 3 years ago). The staff appears to be film-fans, which enhances the experience. The films they select are cream of the crop - especially when you're finishing up an Oscar viewing list. They have unique (locally made goods) and ordinary concessions. They also serve beer & wine (yay!). It's Art Deco top... More

We had just been home from New Orleans 1 day. To say I was tired was an understatement. But Tracy wanted to go to the Fine Arts Theater and watch the movie Wild with Reese Witherspoon. So we did. I haven't been to the Fine Arts Theater in about 20 years so it was nice to go and watch a... More

It is good to have Scotty Corbin back where he belongs. Looking forward to the fine entertainment of 2015 and his wonderful plays put on by the Overlook Theatre.

This two-screen theater has been serving independent films to Asheville residents since the last millennium. A cozy place that's perfect for after a downtown dinner. You can even drink a beer while you watch.

Awesome throwback style theatre with great pricing on tix & concessions, with fantastic first run off the radar style films. On our first visit we saw Silver Linings Playbook a couple of years ago and this time The Imitation Game. Great compliment to downtown Asheville, check it out.

The Fine Arts Theater is a throwback to the way movie theaters used to be. And the movies shown here are the best for thinking people. Immerse yourself with the Asheville arts lovers community. See a movie (or many of them) at the Fine Arts Theater!

This place is great because it shows local films, obscure films that won't always circulate to the other nearby cinemas, and has a fantastic assortment of snacks!
