This is NOT a run of the mill movie theatre. More of an art house but not exclusively. I always check their listings first before going to the regular theatres. Large screen, small house.

Great ( a bit off-beat. Not your typical) movie selection and seating. Previews running constantly in window so you can see what might appeal to you. Can even take a beer into theater with you...

Get a glass of wine or a beer and watch a movie in an old fashion movie theater. You can choose from movies that you will not find in the chain theaters, foriegn films and independent films, Really a gem in asheville.

Combine a gallery visit at Blue Spiral with a meal at Limones and a movie at the Fine Arts Theatre and you will be quite happy.

The movie theatre is a real treat and is so easy to visit when in downtown Asheville. Usually shows the best of Indy style Films. Good bar service. You can get a really small popcorn which is great if you are having dinner before or after the movie. This place has a great history.

Great movies - usually not your mainstream but always good! Even if you think you don't want to see a movie, their choices are thought provoking and entertaining.

Great theatre in downtown Asheville. Two screens in this historic theatre. Unfortunately there is no elevator so the upstairs is a bit of a trek but worth it..

The Fine Arts Theatre may use modern digital technology like most other movie venues today, but the building still reflects its early construction as a traditional movie experience. I'd swear the floor tiles and refreshment counter are the originals! The Fine Arts carries current release movies, but often has those which are harder to find in larger commercial settings. They... The iconic movie theater showing independents as well as some others. Just a nice old time theater right on the main walking street.
