We're from Texas and in AVL visiting friends. We had been out fly fishing all day and were exhausted. After dinner we decided to go have a drink before going home. Once we walked into Tressa's and heard the band...we ended up staying for the remainder of the night. Dancing and singing and dancing and dancing. Our exhaustion was quickly... More

We loved our experience at Tressas! Got lucky and hit the Mardi Gras party Saturday night. Boas, Beads, Hats - Fun! Wonderful music also and the martinis. OMG the martinis! I had Seven different ones - all were delicious but the Wedding Cake Martini was so good I had two! Definitely recommend this Bar!

Good place for music but $7.50 for a watered down rum and soda is ridiculous in Asheville. We walked away feeling cheated but again the music was good not great but good. There are so many places in Asheville I don't think we would be coming back.

First, they had the best Club sandwich I've ever had. The rest is that this place is a great example of what makes Asheville special; a great mix of people, local live music and friendly staff.

My wife and I were in Asheville for a short getaway and happened on this place while looking for a quick drink. We were drawn in by the music and warm atmosphere. Drinks were pretty decent, I tried a local artisan moonshine and my wife had a Kir Royale. Nothing to rave about, but pretty good and very reasonably priced.... More

Great bands and reasonable drink prices. Waitresses were pleasant and attentive. Worth a visit just to watch the crowd.

As a straight local I had heard that this place was mostly a gay/ lesbian club but having been in a couple of times thought it was ok with my kind. Stopped in late on a sat night with a group of 10+ straight folks and we never gave the issue a second thought. Good time, jazz band was rocking.... More
