But hey, a pretty cool one to walk around in. Has a quiet feel to it and located in a nice area. Worth walking around in if you are into these things

Riverside Cemetery is about 90 acres of graves dating to the late nineteenth century. Here you can visit the graves of Thomas Wolfe, O'Henry, Zebulon Vance, Thomas Clingman, Jeter Pritchard, and Thomas Patton. There are interesting traditions here. For example, visitors make sure that $1.87 is always on top of O'Henry's grave because his famous story "The Gift of the... More

Pick up a guide at the caretaker's office near the center of the cemetery. The guide is not the easiest to read when driving so it's best to stop and walk. Plus you'll get to enjoy the lovely area.

Very old cemetery that has been well kept for the most part with Graves going back many years. There are several famous people buried here as well. Thomas Wlfe being the first that comes to mind. Going through cemetery, you see many types of markers, which provide a visual of how loved ones have been commemorated over the years since... More

Lots of history here. Stop by the caretakers office and pick up the tour guide. Most are visible from the car path, but some you'll need to get out and walk to.

Riverside Cemetery worth a visit. Thomas Wolfe and O Henry are both there. Beautiful setting on the side of a hill with very old stones.

I enjoy walking around here, it is very peaceful and cool to look at the headstones. Many people jog in here, so even being in as it gets dark doesn't feel uncomfortable.
