A wonderful place to play in the water, listen to a concert, walk, ride a segway, meet friends after dinner. The city buildings are beautiful with the mountains in the background.

This is where you see the distinctive brick Vance memorial that is a stone pointed narrow tower in the style of the Washington Monument in D.C. This is where many musicians gather to play and people cross from Biltmore to Broadway. Apropos since this was the spot of the original crossroad of the area, the Dixie Highway. This significance is... More

So fun to watch and listen to the Friday night drum circle. Great people watching and great musicians!

Pack Square is a great little green space where events are held. If you are visiting the city this is a nice place to stop and relax for a bit ... perhaps with a picnic. There are public restrooms available. If you have children, bring their swimsuits and let them play in Splashville! It's perfect if you need to cool... More

I have seen a lot of strange, weird, unusual, beautiful, talented, funky and generally interesting people in this area. Lots of terrific dining choices within a short walking distance. I've enjoyed hearing some really fine musicians playing for donations, while I have had a meal outside on Pack Square. There are lots of great little shops nearby.

Really nice park located in downtown Asheville with a great photo opportunity especially if you catch the correct lighting at sundown. It's nice to grab a coffee and take a stroll along the green areas and generally just chill and relax.

This was my first trip to Asheville in some years. Pack Square is now opened up, well designed, and is bordered by some lovely historic and contemporary buildings. In particular, the Biltmore corporate headquarters, designed by I. M. Pei, is striking and captures a wonderful reflection of the sky across it's facade. Across the way you can enjoyed The Chocolate... More
