This series of visitor facilities is your chance to get an unsurpassed view of the Appalachians from several high-elevation perches. You can take a short walk to either Craggy Flats or Craggy Pinnacle, or you can stop at the visitor center (in season) to buy a book or use the restroom. Regardless of where you go, you'll be rewarded with... More

I have been there on Aug 10th..Yeah i knew this place is real nice, best place to hiking, great mountain views but we were unlucky because of the bad weather.. It was raining cloudy foggy and dark too, you can even see anything infront of you. Mainly we went there to see the... More

Excellent short hikes in a special place. Good trails with a variety of terrain, wild flowers, wildlife and scenery. Nice little gift shop with rangers on duty.

We have been here many times and always enjoy the hike! Located off the Blue Ridge Parkway just a few miles out of Asheville. This is one of the many scenic spots where you can park and take a short hike! There is also picnic tables and grills so you can enjoy having lunch or just a snack. The hike... More

Mild to medium hiking experience needed! GREAT Views and bathrooms are close by. I love to support The Blue ridge parkway by purchasing something on their store there. They need all the assistance on keeping OUR parkway beautiful and maintained!

A fine stopping point along the Blue Ridge Parkway, especially after being on Mt. Mitchell at sunset. My experiences here are different than most - I visit at night. The dark skies here offer fine opportunity to astrophotography. Even if it's cloudy, one can then get some fine exposures of very distant city lights. Even with a modest camera on... More

This is a short relaxing walk to the Craggy Pinnacle. We had a two, seven, and ten year old who all enjoyed the hiking trail to the top. They loved the view and the tall sea of grass on the top. Great for playing hide and seek! Perfect for a picnic.

Just North of Asheville is a great place to picnic, fly kites and hike. The visitor center is a good store and information place. The facilities are appreciated.

My wife and I climbed the Craggy Gardens Hiking Trail in the picnic area. It is 8/10's of a mile but all uphill. The view from the top is great and the hike is well worth the effort..... Especially on a clear day. So we say "Go for it" !
