interesting local art

Great use of an old dimestore building to showcase local artwork. There is everything from jewelry to pottery to paintings.

We visit Asheville at least once a year and this is always one of our favorite places to see and buy art and artesian crafts. No matter the budget, you can afford something and support the incredibly talented local artists.

There are plenty of stalls selling various artefacts, paintings, sculptures etc. interesting if you are an art lover, there is a coffee shop were you can relax if perhaps your partner is more of an art lover than yourself.

Some of the arts and crafts here are wonderful, some are not such great quality; but this is not a gallery, but a place where artisans can pay for some space, so the offerings are mixed.

located downtown in an old Woolworth bldg. it has many small sections with local artists showing their craft. Not spectacular, but if you are downtown check it out.

Simply put, a wonderful art, jewelry, and craft gallery with great works to view. You could spend hours taking in all that this place has to offer.

Not sure what I expected but I enjoyed. Tons of various items to view. Lunch and ice cream available. Restrooms. Some very good talented artists. I especially enjoyed the photography.

The woolworth walk gallery is a nice respite in downtown ashevile, which, let's face it, can be a little overstimulating sometimes. It's big, roomy, organized, intetesting, has food, and, oh yeah, art. You will find a variety of art here, and it doesn't feel too sophisticated for the average tourist. The space is divided into booths, which helps you get... More

Neat old building in which to see so much local art! It's air-conditioned and has an old-time soda fountain to sit & take a break. The artwork on sale/display is all well done and varies in mediums, styles, and affordability.
