This is a great place to go when it's raining outside...this place is so full of "stuff" you can wander around for hours. Paintings, pottery, "yard sale" items, photos, it is all tucked away inside the Woolworths store. Don't think of going there just for the counter because it is standing room only (or at least when we went), the... More

It is worth the trip to Woolworth Walk if you ever had the experience of sitting at a Woolworth lunch counter. It brings back many memories. There are also many artists' stalls in the remainder of the store.

This gallery will never disappoint and changes constantly as new art and artists are added. Well worth spending an hour checking out the highly talented local artists and great prices.

The Woolworth Walk is a Gallery of individual art booths in an old Five & Dime building. They have so many interesting things to look at: ceramics, paintings, jewelry, pottery, furniture . . . Many creations are reasonably priced. They even have an old-fashioned soda fountain; as a young girl I loved to sit at the Woolworth soda counter. The... More

Old 5 & Dime has been turned into a neat space where various local artists sell their work. Two levels. Also has the original soda fountain counter.

The Woolworth Walk was recommended by a volunteer at the Welcome Center. The soda fountain was fun, and brought back childhood memories. We enjoyed the artists displays, and although we didn't make a purchase, we took cards from a few artists. Many offer paintings, prints of different sizes if not on display. Beautiful jewelry at reasonable prices, pottery, and more.

Lots of local artists - jewelry, paintings, photos, and more. Plus, a 50s style soda fountain with food and milkshakes. Right on the main tourist thoroughfare in downtown Asheville.
