In addition to what you go here for -- minor league baseball -- there are other entertaining aspects which add to the atmosphere. The stadium is a beautiful setting and you are close to the action. The promotional staff work hard at adding entertaining between innings features.

I've seen over 70 minor league stadiums, this ranks around the middle. Not a terrible place to see a game but nothing particularly special. Get a photo by the old ticket booth

McCormick Field is one of the regular places we go to in Asheville, NC during the summer. It's the home of the Asheville Tourists, a farm team of the Colorado Rockies baseball team. The great thing about the Tourists and McCormick Field is you don't need a bank loan to attend a game like you do to see a major... More

You don't have to be a dedicated baseball fan to enjoy an evening out with the Asheville Tourists. The seats are just as hard, even numbing, as most minor league ball parks. But the excitement of cheering the home team, enjoying a hot dog and popcorn, feeling connected to the community and a part of history, is all just as... More

I guarantee you will have a great time, especially if you bring kids with you. An historic ballpark (Babe Ruth played here!), pleasant mountain weather, fun activities and mascots throughout the game, a great selection of food and beers, and even some baseball, make this a fun experience. Plus free parking across the street.

This is a sweet little gem. The game is very entertaining itself plus the end-of-innings 'activities' that occur. It is definitely kid-friendly (except maybe Thirsty Thursdays). McCormick Field is small, homey, comfy, and reminiscent of bygone days.

Minor league baseball in a cozy stadium. The play is on the field but in between innings the stadium crew will keep you entertained. Mr Moon and Teddy Tourist will visit the kids. There is a no alcohol zone for good family fun. The fireworks are busy nights and they are worth watching. Part of Bull Durham with Kevin Kostner... More

A Tourist game is always fun! The stadium atmosphere is amazing, easy to access food and drinks, and a very helpful staff make this the perfect night out in Asheville. We cannot wait for next season to begin.
