I don't know how I missed Blue Spiral over the years. I just went last weekend for the first time and it blew me away. Asheville is an arts/crafts/gallery mecca, but this gallery stands out for me as the very best of "pure" art, rather than arts and crafts. Maybe it's because I probably can't afford anything I saw, but... More

If you want to see the best curated art in Asheville, this is the place. I own several pieces from Blue Spiral and they inspire me each day. Downstairs they feature a local artist, and it is beautifully curated. Upstairs, they have amazing pieces that will awe you. Definitely worth a visit!

We were amazed -- great art in one room after another, on three floors, including a stunning display by Ron Isaacs. No elevator, so be prepared to walk. More like a museum than a gallery.

We've traveled all over the world.....galleries in far flung places.....but this gallery competes. Fine choices of many types of media: paintings, sculpture, glass, etc. Pricey but for great quality art. Don't miss it even if you are just looking.

Asheville is THE most pathetically overrated city in the southeast (aside from Greenville, SC, though they are two very different entities, somewhat polarized from each other). A lot of people who think Asheville is "IT" really don't know it all that well. It is a city being killed by its own success. That being said, John Cram's contributions to the... More

I visited along with my mother and two of her friends, all of whom are working artists. We were very impressed with the gallery and the caliber of the work. The gallery was preparing to open a new show, so it was only partially hung, but what we saw was top-notch--drawings by an artist who has spent a lot of... More

This gallery was dead on the Sunday afternoon that we visited, and the atmosphere was very somber. The featured art was interesting to see, but the prices were very high - I prefer the Woolworth Walk for my personal budget and taste.

One of the finest galleries in the USA. If you love true American crafts and art you must visit Blue Spiral. I always try to visit when I go to Asheville.

A gorgeous gallery to visit, exquisite lighting, fascinating work of many dimensions by talented artists and craftspeople. Little bit overpriced, even by Asheville art gallery standards.
