I have bought several wonderful sculptures from here. It is "the upscale" art gallery in Asheville and the customer service has been excellent. I have had my purchases shipped to two places and they both arrived perfectly packed and unharmed. They have an impressive list of contemporary artist, a majority of them from the North CArolina area nearby.

The current show at Blue Spiral 1 is one of the best I've ever seen - paintings, sculpture, incredible baskets. You can stop in on your way to the Fine Arts Theatre or Bellagio Everyday, all on Biltmore Ave in Asheville

I don't know how I missed Blue Spiral over the years. I just went last weekend for the first time and it blew me away. Asheville is an arts/crafts/gallery mecca, but this gallery stands out for me as the very best of "pure" art, rather than arts and crafts. Maybe it's because I probably can't afford anything I saw, but... More

If you want to see the best curated art in Asheville, this is the place. I own several pieces from Blue Spiral and they inspire me each day. Downstairs they feature a local artist, and it is beautifully curated. Upstairs, they have amazing pieces that will awe you. Definitely worth a visit!

We were amazed -- great art in one room after another, on three floors, including a stunning display by Ron Isaacs. No elevator, so be prepared to walk. More like a museum than a gallery.

We've traveled all over the world.....galleries in far flung places.....but this gallery competes. Fine choices of many types of media: paintings, sculpture, glass, etc. Pricey but for great quality art. Don't miss it even if you are just looking.

Asheville is THE most pathetically overrated city in the southeast (aside from Greenville, SC, though they are two very different entities, somewhat polarized from each other). A lot of people who think Asheville is "IT" really don't know it all that well. It is a city being killed by its own success. That being said, John Cram's contributions to the... More

I visited along with my mother and two of her friends, all of whom are working artists. We were very impressed with the gallery and the caliber of the work. The gallery was preparing to open a new show, so it was only partially hung, but what we saw was top-notch--drawings by an artist who has spent a lot of... More
