Walk through the entire hotel lobby level to see the winners of the Gingerbread House contest. Children and adult winners. Beautiful tree decorations throughout. Numerous restaurants and photo opps. Beautiful old hotel. $10 to park but if you like baking you will appreciate the token. Also have a sleigh set up on hotel balcony for photo ops.

We visited this hotel when they were displaying the winners of their Gingerbread House competition. The beauty and history of this place is incredible. It costs $10 just to park to get in, but it's worth it. You can imagine yourself back in time with the Vanderbilts, just sitting on the porch rockers, looking at the view, being served by... More

Nice place, the history itself is worth checking out. Were there for the Gingerbread Show, and was very well done, as usual. They did move the sleigh that everyone uses for Christmas pictures outside, which is nice, unless its cold....then it's a bit of a hassle.....

The Spa at the Grove Park is the ultimate in relaxing experiences. Make sure that you allow enough time to enjoy the spa and not just your treatment. The pools are wonderful, particularly the waterfall which feels like a massage on your shoulders and back. Sitting by one of the fireplaces and relaxing or reading prior to your treatment is... The cost to valet park is worth it! This is like visiting Biltmore or any historic landmark. Have a drink on the outdoor patio and soak up the views! Great place to people watch if you just want to sit in the lobby.

The fall colors in Asheville NC are nothing short of spectacular and the Grove Park Inn is situated on one of the most picturesque places in America. This is an expansive hotel and the grounds are beautiful. The spa is world class and makes a wonderful long weekend getaway. Some of the rooms need a bit of an update, but... More

This Inn is beautiful with lovely rooms and verandas overlooking the mountains. Enjoyed looking at the different entries for the gingerbread contest. Most are not houses at all but figures or buildings. My favorite was a soldier in camouflage. We also enjoyed a glass of wine and a lovely lunch overlooking the beautiful mountains. There are lots of different restaurants... More

Purchased a day spa pass, if you do this come during the week day as it was not crowded at all. Spent much of the day in hot tubs, waterfalls, quiet rooms warm pools, steam room, etc. It is all well worth the money. Afterwards ate buffet dinner at Grove Park, but it is pricey ($38 per person), but delicious.

Stay in the original Inn! The elevator with the attendant is a hoot! Sad they do not have an a-la-cart restaurant for breakfast.

Fantastic meal in the Grand Ballroom. Lovely place for a holiday meal.we used the Valet parking, as it was exceptionally busy. Good call!, the buffet was huge, with a cold line, a hot line, a carving line and dessert line. the spiked hot apple cider was toasty warm on a overcast day!
