I went here for a small wedding and loved it! I will recommend this location to friends and family that are looking for a venue.

What a miserable experience staying in the incredibly noisy condos above the Altamont Theatre. We had to listen to an entire concert through the floor and walls - were never alerted upon renting that we were walking into the least peaceful place in Asheville and would have to suffer through an entire concert we didn't want to hear. Street noise,... More

This is an intimate space for music. Good variety of performances. Only wish they would bring in some good women's music. One of the few music venues in town where you can sit.

We recently held our wedding reception at the Altamont Theater as well as booked it as the lodgings for myself and my husband as well as the majority of my family from out of town. The accommodations were well above our expectations and we were so pleased. The location is perfect, (middle of downtown Asheville) and within walking distance to... More

Intimate place with good sound for the musicians. Enjoy the reasonable fees to see local entertainment.

We say Roxie Watson here and we were impressed by the sound, intimacy, and facilities here. You would not be disappointed by any show that you would be interested in taking in at this venue. Reasonable drink prices.

This venue has optimal acoustics. It is a nominal size with no bad seats at all. If you want to actually hear the music (instruments and vocals), this is the place to go. The location is great, too.

A great little intimate theater where you can always catch a great little or big gig. Six of us enjoy some wonderful jazz. Have been here several times and enjoyed it each time.

The theater seats about 120 , some small tables ,raised side seats. And I got to hear Livingston Taylor. What a great entertainer, so interactive with the audience. they also have a restaurant down the street and can serve you in the theater. Good crab cake acoustics are really good.
