My husband and I vacationed in Asheville in early August and the food tour was our first activity. We had read such nice things about it that we wanted to leave plenty of time in our vacation to return to the restaurants we liked most. We’re glad we did. Hank was our guide and he took us to seven restaurants.... More

My sisters and I did The High Roller Eating Asheville Tour. We stopped at seven different restaurants, and were pleasantly surprised with how much food and wine we received. This was a fun experience to visit a variety of restaurants, meet the chefs and ask questions.

One of the best ways to experience Asheville if you are only staying for a few days and have dinner options already in mind, such as Curate. The restaurant choices are very good, with some that we did not even think we would time to taste and others we did not even know about, and they are very easy to... More

We very much enjoyed our tour, the food, and our guide, Hank. We stopped at 7 different restaurants, and were pleasantly surprised with how much food (and alcohol!) we received at each. By the end, we were too full to finish each dish. The restaurants were very well selected and the food was delicious. I wish we had done this... More

I took the regular tour over this past weekend. I was very excited for this and it was a great tour. We had Hank as our guide and he was very knowledgeable about the food, restaurants and Asheville. We started in the book shop and had some sparkling wine and 2 different fish canapes. The salmon was wonderful. From there... More

We participated in the High Roller tour on a recent Thursday, visiting six eateries within a few blocks of the meeting place. We enjoyed the experience overall. Stuart was our guide and was very knowledgeable about the restaurant scene in Asheville. Our group was a large one of 18 which is apparently the maximum size. The group really should be... More

We did the high roller your on a Thursday with Stuart and a large group (about 18 people). We visited six sites including the gathering place. The restaurants were all in downtown Asheville all within a 5 minute walk from one another. I would have preferred different restaurants further apart. The good at each spot was ok, but not amazing.... More

Very pleased with our Eating Asheville tour! A nice selection of foods, a little history and completely accommodated my vegetarian diet. If you are staying for a few days, do this early as there are many places you will want to return to!

We have been vacationing in Asheville area off and on for a number of years and never took the time to really explore Asheville's culinary offerings. My wife found this tour when preparing for our vacation and it sounded like a lot of fun. We signed up for the "High Roller" option which offered 7 restaurants over about 2½ to... More

We took the tour our first afternoon in Asheville. It was the perfect way to start the trip. Not only did we get to sample from several excellent restaurants but also were able to learn our way around the city. Hank- the guide- kept us entertained as we trekked from place to place with local history and lore. The cuisine... More
