Found this theater advertised in a magazine in our hotel room. We see a lot of stage plays and so gave this one a shot. Pleasantly surprised by the superb performance of Parallel Lives. The facility is clean and well maintained although a bit difficult to locate. We were given directions by a local theater student and very glad we... More

Recently saw An Illiad and as someone else already said it, "the interpretation gave meaning to a long not understood story." As a retired high school teacher, I would have loved to have had the opportunity to expose my students to not only this caliber theatre, but also to this particular story which is often read or summarized in high... If you live anywhere near Asheville, it's worth getting on the Stage Company's email list. They put on plays from Shakespeare to modern farces and provide opportunity for small local theater to use their premises from time to time. Renovation is ongoing and making a big difference in ambience. Parking is easy in either major lot next to the theater.

My wife and I have tickets to every show. Stage performance is written and directed for audience to enjoy.

My wife and I as well as her parents saw 'Don't Dress for Dinner' at the theater this afternoon and loved it! The staff were superb and we really could not have had a better time. I saw a review that said 'Bravo! Bravo!' and we agree!

NC Stage is the venue for interesting, off-beat and outstanding performance. As a season ticket holder here, I manage to catch most every performance and I'm rarely disappointed. The performances are memorable, often edgy and always worthwhile.

Absolutely the best! Going to purchase season tics and support them. We've been twice since we moved here from ATL.

We saw "Rounding Third" with our family of five. We all enjoyed this two man comedy. Theater is small, but intimate and within walking distance of dining, shopping, pubs.

We enjoy live theater in Boston where we live, so we explored our options while visiting Asheville for 4 days and were pleased to find the NC Stage. Very low key, relaxed and enjoyable way to spend an evening after a pleasant dinner at a local restaurant. Location was a tiny tricky to find, but ample parking. Our seats were... More

Small intimate space that assures every attendee a good seat. The staff if not afraid to take risk or two hence, you will be exposed to intelligent theatre here at NC Stage. It's a must do in Asheville.
