My wife and I,along with four good friends, had the pleasure of enjoying the performance of Jeeves Intervenes this past Saturday. I have to say that the entire cast did a wonderful job of putting on yet another quality play at the NC Stage. We have seen a number of productions here (at NC Stage) since moving to town eight... We loved the performance, which had lots of laughs and a wonderful set and cast. The place was packed, but our seats we excellent. The visit with the cast and director after the performance was a nice opportunity to hear about the play, and to get lots of curiosities answered. The icing on the cake for us was stopping by... The play was enjoyable enough but somewhat dissapointing. Several of the players didn't always hold character/accent throughout which is annoying because it is an essential requirement for a play such as this. The works of PG Wodehouse rely on maintaining the frozen-in-time setting of upper class England between the wars flawlessly. Also, a hanging cable at the foyer entrance arch... More

The Play: "Jeever Intervenes": A+ Acting; Well Coordinated and Beautiful Costume Design, Pleasant Set Design. Admire the dedication of it's Directors and are thankful to have NC Stage Theater in our hometown, where we always leave with a smile on our face.

NC Stage / "Someone Else" … It is smart, funny and insightful. Superb acting and witty-zany story ~ Funny and astute play. Prepare yourself for a shock or two. Just SEE IT!

Hilarious and awkwardly real moments between a young 20 something man and his grandmother going through tough times together. Love the layout of the theatre and how there is seamless music interlude into the next segment. Great job and I'd love to come back for another when I'm in town.

The North Carolina Stage Company, a professional theatre in downtown Asheville, North Carolina, does so much with so little. An intimate venue that does not have a bad seat in the house. Founders Charlie and Angie Flynn-McIver produce a wide range of sometimes edgy, sometimes traditional, always relevant and always entertaining theatre. Our first time there was a wonderful surprise... More

Saw "Parallel Lives" there - wonderful show! The environment is so intimate; every seat is great. The venue is a bit difficult to find (entrance is tucked into an alley) but the everything about our experience was wonderful.

Just saw the dress rehearsal of "the Underpants" at NC Stage, and it was hilarious! It is a play adapted by Steve Martin, and includes a lot of his type of humor; many slightly off-color lines, innuendo and suggestive comments. And the acting was superb! If you like comedy without slapstick, you will enjoy this play.
