Kudos to the folks that created this book mecca. It was like heading to a major bookstore but with so much more charm and class. The ambiance is perfect and being able to have a glass of wine while you look through the books is peaceful and indulgent. I love this place and recommend it highly to anyone who loves... More

I can't speak to the wine bar part because I was only interested in the books. "A wonderful array" is an understatement. The books are organized so that you wind all the way through the store and up a level or two. Spend a few minutes or a few hours. The staff will be happy to have you. There are... More

This is a fun place to sit and drink some wine with friends. I don't recommend the food however. We thought we would have a couple snacks, so we ordered some dips like the pimento cheese and smoked trout. For about $10 (each) you get 6 store bought crackers and about a tablespoon of dip. I call that a ripoff.... More

This place is awesome ! Cool atmosphere, great wine and lite food. We had hummus platter and Ploughman's lunch. Both were delicious and great to nibble on while we drank. Staff was helpful and friendly. We were able to drink our wine and just enjoy the atmosphere and time to hang out and talk. Will definitely return.

I could have spent hours here . They have two floors of used books .You can have wine and cheese while you read or do a book club with your friends. I would be there every day if I lived in Asheville . They have a great menu and comfortable couches and chairs to sit and relax.

I liked the quirky nature of the building and bought a few books and drinks but I wouldn't go so far as to recommend it to people. The layout is fun and odd and there's a random kitchen section that you need to walk through which is kind-of charming. But there is only one counter servicing food, drinks and books... More

We ended our evening with a slice of decadent white layered cake with blueberry cream filling and warm tea. Sitting outside under their covered walkway and people watching after purchasing a couple of books. This interesting three store wine/coffee bar and book exchange is very enjoyable. You can wander in their curvy walkways enjoying the numerous selection of books, find... More

Deliriously mazelike, completely dedicated to books, books, and congenial browsing, Of course, the terrific coffee, champagne and dessert bar at the entrance is enticing all on its own. Plus, many of the previously loved books are actually affordably priced.

No internet, the lady said because it was Saturday and "it turned into a study hall". Rules were listed as don't hold a book, don't squeeze a book and don't read it. This is a used bookstore!!! Will not return. Would never by a book there. Off to wonderful Malaprops!
