Whoa! This spot is amazing! Love all the choices of books, especially the classics. Awesome setting and great atmosphere. Nice choice of coffees too. The "Thomas Wolfe" specialty was delicious. You could definitely spend the day here reading one of the books you purchase or enjoying one of their many selections of beverages. What a great concept to put an... More

Comfort, style, sophisticated charm...the Battery Park Book Exchange has it all: elegant setting in the art deco heart of Asheville, hot and cold beverages, hors d'oeuvres amidst stylish comfort and an array of wonderful books sheltering hidden nooks and crannies for quiet tete-à-tetes. Who but a lawyer who loves books, wines, dogs and people could come up with the perfect... More

Like "Midnight In Paris", at any moment you think one of the classic writers is going to be sitting at a table. As you stroll through this classic bookstore with a glass of champagne, you think this is what reading should be about! Must see for any Asheville traveler. Be sure to pick up a book and cocktail (or two)!

Just did a quick lookthrough, but this is a huge bookstore with tons of nooks, tables, comfy chairs to sit and read. We were told that they make a great strong cup of coffee, definitely an upscale coffee shop vibe. We didn't order anything, but were loving walking through the place and seeing all that it had to offer.

Love, love, love this place! First, I am a huge Bibliophile so you should take that into consideration but, the atmosphere in this store/bar/coffee shop was amazing. It's set up with small seating sections all over the store just like you would imagine an aged, classy library would have- leather club chairs, comfy love seats, etc. I get to drink... More

Perfect. Books and drinks. Had a wonderful time getting lost while sipping a porter and perusing. Nothing amazing but a good way to lose time.

Books, coffee, wine, nibbles - enjoy browsing the thousands of books or sink into the elegantly decorated space to enjoy conversation with friends. People friendly, pet friendly. What's not to like? This is one of my favorite go to places in Asheville. I get a kick out of this YouTube video too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfmYH0tcOsk

Eclectic place to wander through looking at books. We enjoyed a glass of wine and listening to live music on a busy Saturday night, very relaxing and fun. Dog friendly.
