This place is so cool. You are surrounded by shelves and shelves of book and have a bunch of comfy and quiet places to sit. The staff is friendly and attentive but no one bothers you. The coffee is rich and flavorful and the desserts are dynamite. Once you enter, you will be inspired to sit and write the great... More

Came here for a Meet-Up group and was impressed. Excellent place for small groups to meet or for a drink while browsing their book selection. Would be better if light snacks were offered with coffee or wine.

During the fall, we met college friends here for a before-dinner gathering. We sat in a quiet nook, surrounded by books (which we all love) at a lovely plate of cheeses and fruits and drank Proseco and beer! Perfect for old college friends. Only one drawback -- I had an allergic reaction to the old books and had to leave... More

It is the best of a local meeting place, bookstore, coffee shop, sandwiches, and wine bar all in one. Depending on season and time of day, it is worth the effort to find parking and visit here. I imagine Battery Park has a great local following. It is dog friendly, kid friendly, you name it. There are even artist sales... More

and the champagne, wine, coffee. Please don't kick the dog sitting next to you on the floor, he gets to be there just like you. (although he's not suppose to sit on the furniture) It's not really a place for a meal, but it's a great place to kick back and look around an old bookstore and find a cozy... More

Interesting and comfortable environment for relaxing and having a cocktail. We went twice in a 3 day stay.

This has to be one of the more original concepts. It's part coffeehouse,wine/champagne bar, bookstore, hangout. Dog friendly. You can grab a glass of wine, champagne, or beer and take your "browsing beverage" through the labyrinth of used books and cozy reading nooks. Check it out!

Perfect place to meet up with friends or on a date prior to dinner. You're sure to meet some great people here. They have a great champagne list for bottles or half bottles, good selection of wine by the glass, and the coffee and tea is great. They are animal friendly here. It's such a unique and great place, I... More

This is perhaps on of the most unique places I have every been to. The name betrays the place in some ways. It isn't really just a "bar". My wife loves books and loves coffee so to start our anniversary trip it seemed like the obvious first stop. Inside is a maze (in a good way) of book shelves and... More

All the best things in life come together here. Books, coffee, wine, friends and dogs. Great spaces for chatting and full of cozy nooks to curl up solo with a book. Definitely my favorite spot in Asheville. Just go.
