The visitor center is great for getting an overview of the fair city of Asheville. The trolley is good. The Segway tours, though, are the best, and very much worth the price. The literature isn't the greatest -- about what you could get in any brochure rack at a hotel. The staff is variable. Some are more engaged than others.

We have been very happy with the service and resources at the Center. They helped us get our annual membership for Biltmore Estate, at a very reasonable price. We got several leads on good restaurants and local attractions.

The Visitor Center has a lot of information (for both visitors and potential residents) and the gift shop sells locally made items.

Who would have thought on a cold January Sunday morning that the information center would be staffed with such welcoming and knowledgeable people, but it was. Their insight in to the area and recommendations for things to do in “not so perfect weather” were fantastic. This is a top notch Visitor’s Center with information from wedding venues, relocation to touristy... More

Very helpful suggestions where to shop, find musical instruments and enjoy the local beer. They provided a map and suggested parking. We love the aSHEville Museum. A real GEM! Some wonderful clothing stores in town as well.

We'd heard 'You must see Biltmore at Christmas'. However due to uncertain work schedules, we could not pre-reserve tickets. Biltmore's website said that we could come & try, but no guarantee tickets would be available. So it made sense to start at Visitors Center, so that if we were unable to obtain tickets, we could review other options. The staff... More

Asheville has a great visitor center. First time to visit Asheville or need to pick up news on what to see and do? Be sure to see what you can find here. There is also a retail shop in the center.

Relatively new and extensive, with lots of parking and not far from downtown, and staffed with helpful folks, this place offers a lot of information that's valuable for a first time visitor to Asheville.

The Visitor Center was on our way to the Biltmore, so took the advice of our Innkeeper and picked up our tickets there with no waiting. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful!
