This was our first stop when we arrive in town. Both volunteers were knowledgeable and know how to help us get around town and what sites for us to see since we were only in town for 1 day. We also had a couple of must see on our list and they help to work them into our day. Beware,... More

Enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the plethora of information. The gift shop is okay and the people were very helpful and kind.

The Asheville Visitor's Center is lovely and very thorough. You can find lots of FREE information for everything you could possibly need or want in Asheville. There's a gift shop too which carries everything from jams and jellies to candies and post cards to history books.

Definitely a stop to make for visitors. Staff is knowledgeable about the area and you can get a city tour bus right there so you can also browse before venturing out on your own. Dont miss the Segway tours leaving from there as well. They are fun.

Volunteer made several suggestions and the best was the trolley tour as you could "get on & off" at designated stops.

Good place to start your visit. It is ideally for people with cars, but you can walk it, especially if you are staying in the Montford area. It's on Haywood street, just past the highway (240).

The staff there was SO helpful! Two of our party accidentally left an item there and both of them were able to retrieve the items! This was a surprise to us, since one of the items was a very expensive pair of sunglasses purchased in Italy. Super people!

A must to stop before hitting the town. TONS of information and help is very knwoedgeable and helpful. It enriched our experience there and we would have otherwise missed out on some things we really enjoyed. The best visitor center we've ever been to.
