This was connected by woods to the RV Park we were staying at so it was easy to get to. We had just seen the Biltmore gardens the day before so this was a little less exciting. We were able to listen to the guided tour thru our cell phones so that was good. But because it was Sept, a... More

Great place to learn. So many plants and trees and trails. It is so well taken care of. We were given an annual membership and love going there to see the different seasons and the different plants. They offer classes and the last time I checked they even do educational Birthday parties. I highly recommend, especially if you like the... More

Beautiful gardens, nature trails, garden sculpture, large Bonsai Garden. Loved it even though we walked our legs off- but plenty of places to rest. They have a nice gift shop and cafe, and a coupel of Air conditioned places to rest and learn about the place.

Beautiful and peaceful, I spent much time there when I was at UNC-Asheville, and so did my daughter. Well worth visiting.

The Arboretum is a beautiful, natural and peaceful setting for enjoying the outdoors. There are several walking trails from easy to difficult to choose from. The day we were there we saw a black snake sunning itself next to the trail!!!

We spent over three hours here viewing gardens, art exhibit, hiking trails and having a snack. The quality of the maintenance of not only the gardens but trails, buildings, rest rooms is refreshing and noticeable. We particularly enjoyed the signage on the Natural Garden Trail and the easy connection to the Carolina Mountain Trail. The flora descriptive signs are frequent... More

The various garden areas are gorgeous, and there were sufficient shaded areas to avoid the sun on the hot July day of our visit. The children really enjoyed the vertical fountains outside the visitor center. Easy access and sufficient resting areas throughout the arboretum.

This a gem for gardeners and anyone who loves the outdoors. Lots of safe hiking and walking trails , with plant and tree identification labels. Parking is per car and has just been increases. but no cost per person. Plan to spent at least 4 hours.

The landscaped gardens are beautiful but I think the highlight here are the trails. We hiked 3 miles by stringing several trails together. One followed a stream which was lovely. Nicely groomed. Dog and kid friendly. There are also bicycle trails.

The grounds are extremely well kept and the gardens are nice. The info center is also very useful - they pointed out gardens off of the main center that we wouldn't have known about otherwise. We spent a little over 2 hours touring here and only hiked part of the easiest trail (the Natural Garden trail). We had to bail... More
