This place was outside the mountains of Asheville and very much out on its own. Drive to it you feel like your leaving today's society for a while. The hot tubs are awesome you can relax with your spouse and have a great time. They were a few ants crawling around but being in nature it is the be expected.... More

This is our second visit to the spa at Shoji. This time we also stayed the weekend in the Lodge. The Spa is Awesome! Showers are great with a lot of pressure. Then being able to relax in the sauna with an ice cold cloth with an oil on it was marvelous! After sweating for awhile we made it down... More

Went to the spa with friends for a graduation gift. It was amazing! Lauren was a fabulous masseuse and Zoe was the best hostess ever! Thanks again for a wonderful time.

My husband and I were really looking forward to our morning at shoji. We left very disappointed. The staff was flat & unwelcoming, the tubs were a bit run down & the massages were mediocre at best. The price you pay is outrageous & we were never even offered a glass of water. But we could have bought a bottle... More

Shoji is a beautiful place and located in a wonderful setting. The staff was nice and friendly and the spa experience was grand. However, our room (called the loft) was miserably hot. It was not like the staff was not aware. In fact they told us when we checked in that some people had problems with the temperature. We were... More

I bought time in the hot tub for my husband for our anniversary several years ago. We had an experience there that I have thought about since then, and finally decided I needed to get it off my chest. Everything was fine about the experience, EXCEPT we were asked to use the sauna until our tub was ready. After 45... More

Shoji reminds me of Ten Thousand Waves in Santa Fe, NM but on a much smaller scale. The husband and I got the spring package which consisted of a private tub, dry body brush, and 80 min massage. The outdoor tubs were nice, and VERY hot. The plunge pool and sauna are separate and communal unlike Ten Thousand Waves where... More

We had a twilight Spa experience. We used the Jacuzzi, Cold Plunge and Sauna for an hour. Navigating the winding roads in the rain up the mountain was a little tricky, but it was well worth the journey. The Jacuzzi and Cold Plunge are partially covered, and it was drizzling ..... what a treat, the space is tranquil and private,... More

Drove 4 hours only to find out they screwed up our reservation and had no space for us. What a HUGE disappointment. " I'm sorry" didn't cut it for me.

The thought of being in nature in a hot tub setting is definitely a wonderful experience. However I suggest just getting a cabin in the mountains would be much more affordable. This was a Girls Trip and although we had a fabulous time I don't think its really worth the $60 price tag.
