We very much enjoyed our first visit to SHOJI Spa & Lodge -- and it won't be our last.We did the Private Spa Pass and experienced the sauna and the outdoor hot tub on a beautiful sky day. Loved the setting hidden in the woods up near the Blue Ridge Parkway. Next time the couples massage! Larry

Over-rated and WAY Over-priced, Employees were very nice and helpful.. Bring a bottled water and a deep wallet with you, if you must go. You can get a much better view from the jacuzzi's on your cabin patio or in your hotel room.. Nothing overly Spectacular about this place.. Granted, I did not opt to take advantage of a massage,... It was kind of fun driving up the broken hilly road to find this place, set in the wooded hills near the Blue Ridge Parkway. Very relaxing in private hot tubs (each in own hut) with an open side to trees. (Hot tubs would be improved with hand rail for ease/safety) Massage was good enough (but not excellent) for this... My husband and I stayed at Shoji in the Studio and also had the "Best Buddha's Couple Package" for our 10th anniversary. The studio was quite clean, comfortable, and spacious in the living room. The bedroom is at the roof so the walls are slanted, but as this was clearly stated on the website we weren't surprised; we actually loved... More

This is a great romantic outing for a special occasion when you don't mind spending a little extra. We got a special that included an hour in the hot tub and sauna and cold plunge pool. We were advised to alternate 15 minutes in the sauna and hot tub, then sauna and hot tub. In February it was much too... More

Came to Shoji at the recommendation of a friend. Such a lovely place! Beautifully tucked into the Smoky Mountains. Hot tub, cold dip, and sauna felt great! Will definitely be back!

I went with a group of friends for our annual girls' weekend. It was great being able to all sit in the suana and the hot tub together. It was the first spa I had ever been to with a cold plunge, so that was interesting. The surroundings were beautiful and relaxing. I thought it was funny that my first... More

Worst Spa experience I have ever had! Soak in a hot tub that has so much Chlorine it burns your eyes, and skin! Then after an hour if that, (which you should not sit in hot tub that long) you wait freezing standing in front if desk clerk, because they do not have cozy spa like sitting area. Community shower,... More

Shoji was the highlight of our Asheville visit. We visited Asheville for five days to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. There are a number of spas in and around Asheville (part of the Asheville mystique for a relatively small city), but in doing extensive web research, I came to the conclusion that Shoji was the place. While we stayed at... More
