A winter afternoon at Shoji

My daughter and I recently enjoyed a relaxing soak at Shoji. We arrived in the late afternoon and enjoyed a beautiful sunset from our tub. When we needed some cooling relief we... read more

Shoji reminds me of Ten Thousand Waves in Santa Fe, NM but on a much smaller scale. The husband and I got the spring package which consisted of a private tub, dry body brush, and 80 min massage. The outdoor tubs were nice, and VERY hot. The plunge pool and sauna are separate and communal unlike Ten Thousand Waves where... More

We had a twilight Spa experience. We used the Jacuzzi, Cold Plunge and Sauna for an hour. Navigating the winding roads in the rain up the mountain was a little tricky, but it was well worth the journey. The Jacuzzi and Cold Plunge are partially covered, and it was drizzling ..... what a treat, the space is tranquil and private,... More

Drove 4 hours only to find out they screwed up our reservation and had no space for us. What a HUGE disappointment. " I'm sorry" didn't cut it for me.

The thought of being in nature in a hot tub setting is definitely a wonderful experience. However I suggest just getting a cabin in the mountains would be much more affordable. This was a Girls Trip and although we had a fabulous time I don't think its really worth the $60 price tag.

My husband and I were staying at the Grove Park Inn and could not get in the spa there so we booked a couples massage with Shoji which I found an ad for in a NC magazine in our hotel room. I am so glad now that we had to look elsewhere for a massage as it truly was most... More

Shoji was such a relaxing retreat. It is perfect for someone by themselves, a girl's getaway or for couples. My girlfriends and I enjoyed the sauna and an hour in one of the outdoor private hot tubs. We were surrounded by peace and quiet with a view of the mountain range in the distance. The spa was very clean and... More

My daughter and I recently enjoyed a relaxing soak at Shoji. We arrived in the late afternoon and enjoyed a beautiful sunset from our tub. When we needed some cooling relief we could either stretch out on the cool wooden deck around the tub or get really refreshed in the cold plunge. After our tub time was over it was... More

Shoji is very close to town, but feels like your miles away at the top of a mountain. After showering with their wonderful products and stepping into a robe and slippers I was ready for the Shoji experience. The water temperature was perfect, and although a busy Saturday, it felt peaceful and quiet. The sauna and cold plunge made for... More

I had a really nice time at Shoji Retreats recently. It's at the top of a mountain and so quiet and peaceful. The facility was very nicely laid out, very clean and zen like. We had a beautiful view from our tub and we were lucky that the weather was perfect, not a cloud in the sky and sunny! As... More
