We visited this site, mostly because we were curious and it was close to our hotel area. However, you do pay a fee to get in and it does not take that long to explore the area. I was suprised at how small it was, but nontheless it is amazing to look at and definitely interesting if you like historic... more

Coral Castle is a gem in South Florida and more people should know about it and experience it. Built by a single man for the woman who spurned his affections, Coral Castle is a remarkable achievement and full of mystery since no one is entirely sure how a one small man could build such a place. It's a beautiful and... more

Although the Coral Castle is interesting, it isn't worth the money we paid for the tickets. It is $.9.50/adult, and we were out of there in 30 minutes. It was a drive by for us but if we had gone out of our way to see this, we would have been more unhappy than we were. It doesn't even resemble... more

The Coral Castle dosen't seem like much when you arrive. There is an entrance fee, but it is well worth the cost to see the amazing coral sculptures and to hear the stories behind their mysterious building/builder. A jilted immigrant devoted his life to carving and caring for a make-believe home for himself and the young bride that left him... more

The Coral Castle was fantastic! We even saw a young man propse. The admission fee was nomial compared to all the other attractions, about a third in price. For about 10.00 we ate our packed lunch under a paito that had a great DVD playing, went on a personal tour and had a great time. Its amazing what one can... more

I recently visited the Coral Castle with my fiance since we saw a special about on TV. I have lived in Florida for the majority of my life but never had the opportunity to visit. It was very unique and the story behind the castle makes it even more worth the visit. To think that a single man could have... more

Interesting to see. Doesn't take long to see. It's a structure made of coral, purportedly all built by a single man who was only 5 feet tall and weighted about 100 pounds. more

This place should be on your list if your anywhere in Souther Florida. Its about a 1/2 hour south of Miami. Cost is $10 for adults. We arrived early in the AM, recommend, and with the price of admission, you get a guided tour. Our guide, the lady from Peru, was wonderful. Not only is she very informative but was... more

More than an average tourist trap, this mixes the mystical, local coral, and lore into an intersting, but overpriced, tour. The tour guide was engaging and very knowledgable, and explained in great detail what everything was, why it was, etc. etc. etc. Obviously, "Ed" was a little more than "eccentric"! and the people from Chicago who ended up with the... more

As the previous posters mentioned, its not a castle. The admission price is steep. I was impressed that one person could do all of that work. There were interesting things that gave a peek of the strange mind that would create such a thing. The really annoying part was that the snack bar area was full of fortune tellers, I... more
