Built in 1906, the same family lived here until the 1980s when it was opened to the public. Lots of amazing furniture, porcelain, wall-covering, etc. all original to the house and/or beautifully restored. The care the staff take in keeping this house pristine and in sharing its history is obvious. At the Visitor Centre, Becky made us very welcome and... More

We came across this house online, and decided to come see it on our way to New Orleans. What a great place! The house was beautiful and the guide was so friendly and full of knowledge. We're not usually that interested in history, but we were both so happy about this tour. The tour was also super cheap, so there... More

This was a great visit, as we thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to get a glimpse of genuine history of common folk, albeit very wealthy common folk, if that even makes sense. The house is so well preserved and the docent was excellent. This should be a real point of pride in Beaumont.

This is one of the oldest Beaumont families and their home. It displays the life style, furnishings and home of the grand style of living in Beaumont achieved by the oil boom of the 1900's. The home settings are changed with the seasons, of course Christmas is most delightful with singing groups and decorations for the holiday, but any visit... More

The tour starts with a brief video. The home tour was well done. We enjoyed the multiple building and the self guided tour in the barn.

A wonderful tour. The tour lasted an hour and it took you through the entire home and the carriage house. The grounds are really lush and beautiful.

Beautiful Victorian home. The tour guide was very informative and answered all the question that we asked. Loved that Mrs. Ward left this home so that others can see into the past and how families lived. On the boys floor as you reach the top of the stairs there are a pair of roller skates, if you look at the... More

Our guide, a young 20 something girl, had really done her homework. I asked several specific questions and she knew every answer. The tour is all 3 floors of the home and the horse barn. There is a beautifully restored 69 Cadillac Fleetwood parked in the horse barn. The senior lady at the front desk was very courteous.

We drove by this huge Victorian house and I HAD to see it. A tour is only $3.00 and well worth it. EVERYTHING in the house is original except for some wallpaper on the upstairs landing which had asbestos in it. What really made it great is you get to tour the entire house. No, you don't walk in each... More

Tours are $3 a person and it lasts 90 minutes. It is recommended to call first to reserve a spot as it is limited to 8 persons per group. I am in the area due to business. I've always been a history buff, but especially being a fan of American Horror Story (Season I), I haven taken more interest in... More
