Nothing like stopping at the smallest Post Office in North America! The building was formerly an irrigation pipe shed, but was quickly transferred into am the Post Office in 1953 after the Ochopee general store and Post Office burned down. It is also a ticket station for Trailways bus lines. You can get a postcard stamped here for the memory... More

When I was reading some article on internet accidentally I came accross this place. As I was staying near Miami planned to have a weekend outing to this place. The drive also too good . You will be travelling through nice green forest. THe post office is tiny and I saw many visitors here. Many were taking the photos and... More

This must be one of the smallest Post Offices in the US! We spotted it on the road thru the Big Cypress, and after a quick lunch at Joannie's (that is another story!), and had to stop and read about it and get a picture for our friends.

Send yourself a post card from this location. If you plan on traveling on Hwy 41 (Tamiami Highway) instead of I-75 (Alligator Alley) make a little photo pit stop here. We loved driving on Highway 41. Yes, it's just a two lane road, but you can stop along the way throughout as you drive through the Everglades and Big Cypress.... More

It was enjoyable to just see this very small post office. Glad we got to view it!! The owner of the Everglades Adventures Tours told us his grandmother was the post master there for many, many years

This place was part of a tour we were on to the Everglades. Our tour guide stopped here for about five minutes. We did the proverbial tourist thing and snapped a couple of photos. The only thing I really wished we had done here was mail our father/father in law birthday card! Alas we didn't have it with us...

Only been by here when it's closed. Stopped to take the obligatory picture. It would probably be more interesting to stop when it's open to see a person actually functioning in this small structure and of course to get a postmark.

Stop off, take some photos to show you've been here - it's free and passes 15 minutes! The post office is functioning and is open 8am until 10am then 12pm until 4pm.

We stopped by to see the smallest post office in America It looked more like a shed you would have at the end of your driveway for your kids to wait in for the school bus

As part of our Everglades Adventure we stopped at this landmark. It is so cute and quirky - definitely worth a visit.
