If you are a Post Office enthusiast it might be worth the trip... otherwise it's a nice historic spot to see, but only if you're already in the area.

We were there when it was closed, but it's a cute building and historic sign. I sent my postcards from there for the unique cancel stamp.

In the 1950s when the general store/post office burnt down, this pumping station for a tomato farm was put into service and continues to serve three counties. Don''t blink or you will miss it. The flag is bigger than the building!

Cure little post office suited in a shed. We were told that it the only post office in USA where you cannot go inside. We saw this on our way from Everglades.

Looked after so well by a wonderful friendly clerk. Had my cards stamped also with the special stamp for the smallest post office in USA. Will visit again.

I did not know this was in operation in the Everglades. What a cool stop, just to say you had been there and sent a note home from there.

I know, it's small. But, it is one of those things that you gotta see, at least once. It is considered to be the smallest post office in the united states. There is a sign there that talks all about it and it is really close to Alligator Alley (another must see!). So, while you go to check out the... More

It really is a fully equipped, functional post office. I stopped by on my way to Naples. The lady working there allowed me to peek in and see all the equipment crammed into a small space. She said that she lives nearby and takes time off to go home and use the bathroom. Lots of people stop by out of... More

Whenever I drive to the west coast of Florida, I always take Tamiami Trail, road 41. It is just much more relaxing drive, light traffic, and the chance to stop by the smallest post office in the country. You must be paying attention to spot it. The parking lot is actually pretty large considering the size of the actual office.... More
