Definitely worth going out of the way to see. Truly amazing views. You have to drive thru a residential neighborhood to get there.

You can see the river and mountain view from 4 different point within the city of White Rock. There are also hikes that joint each of the viewing points or you can drive to each one.

We drove right by this on the way to Bandelier National Monument but returned when it was recommended by the staff at the White Rock Visitor Center. This was a great call! The views are simply spectacular and more than worth the slight detour. You will be glad you stopped!

We were heading to the Bandelier National Monument when we spotted the signage for the Overlook - so glad we stopped. Small parking lot and a viewing platform which gives views out across the mountains and the Rio Grande river gorge below. There are some hiking trails here too, though we were not geared for that, but instead got out... More

About one mile (less than 5 minute drive) from the White Rock Visitor Center, location for the shuttle bus to Bandelier National Monument, is the White Rock Canyon Overlook Park. To get to the overlook point, drive past the sports fields and keep going past the parking lot until you see a sign for the overlook. There, you will find... More

About an easy hour drive from Santa Fe is a beautiful scenic vista which overlooks canyons and the rio grande river. It is at the end of a neighborhood development and fully paved drive

Go here if you want to see large expanses of this most beautiful part of New Mexico! Not far from Los Alamos, and a beautiful drive along the way! (Try going both ways in and out of Los Alamos (main highway and 4 Truck Route!)

The views from this overlook are great in the evening, even with story skies. It was great this time of year with lots of water in the Rio Grande.

Drive to the end of the small park to get some great views of the cliffs and mesa that make up the area scenery. See the Rio Grande below. Great spot for photos. On sunny days it will be hot.
