A good stop

Great viewpoint in all directions. We were there with lightning striking the ridges in all directions, so didn't stay long.

Overlook Park offers an amazing view of the Rio Grande. We quickly visited the park while waiting for the shuttle to Bandelier National Monument. Taking in the sights was relaxing an enjoyably. There is some hiking available, but we did not have time to explore any of the trails.

This is a beautiful spot to appreciate New Mexico's landscape. Overlooking the Rio Grande and with expansive views of prominent mesas, it's worth going out of the way to enjoy.

... when you are there. You´ll see Rio Grande and some pretty landscapes. Doesn´t take much effort to reach the platform for scenic view.

I was able to photograph this setting on two different evenings, the last of which was very stormy. It made for beautiful photography and is an easy location. You can drive right up almost to the overlook.

Great panoramic vista - Colorado in the distance as well as Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Rio Grande meanders through the landscape beside red cliffs.

we really loved this place. It had some of the most amazing views I had seen in NM. had my doubts as we were driving into the sports complex, but this place delivered. I would recommend this place to anyway who is going to Bandelier or Los Alamos. the small detour is well worth it.

This short detour is well worth it, should you happen to be in the area visiting Los Alamos or Bandelier. It is just off the main road through the town of White Rock, just a few miles from Los Alamos and just down the road from the visitor center where you catch the shuttle to Bandelier. Here you'll find a... More

Driving into Los Alamos from Albuquerque, it's a long winding upgrade, so be sure to take the time to pause at this magnificent overview of the valley below. It's worth the time. Also remember to turn around if you love rocks - and marvel at the contours behind you. Makes you understand how Los Alamos came to be... such a... More
