We did the "Canyonlands by Night" tour with the dinner. The dinner was "cowboy:" BBQ everything. Alcohol was available for purchase, and the meal was average. The tables were long, buffet-style tables, so if you want something more intimate, you are out of luck. The boat ride itself was okay. We enjoyed the tour guide and his information much more... I had major expectations, considering the cost. The lack of content in this two plus hour program made it incredibly boring. To make it worse, it think they are using the music and narrative from when they started in 1965. I'm 60 and I hope I never get old enough to enjoy something like this. Oh, one more thing, the... We booked a combination dinner and boat ride. The dinner was ok and convenient but has the ambiance of a church fellowship hall. There are so many strenous adventures in Moab that are for the strong and fit that it was great to find an activity that was good for grand parents and small children to do together.

If you are tired of hiking in the heat and want a break take the 3 hour afternoon jet boat ride down the Colorado river. The boat we took held a max of 33 people. You can sit in the shade or at the rear of the boat in the sun as you feel the power of a 600 HP... More

Did the Canyon by Night tour last Monday night. We are big travelers and have been all over the world, this tour is without a doubt the biggest rip off and the worst thing I have ever done on vacation. They take you on a packed boat on the river then when it gets dark a truck with a spotlight... More

I live here in Moab, my mother in law was visiting us from Baltimore Maryland. We loved the food and boat ride the sound and light show is spectacular, even though I live her in this beautiful place, it is worth seeing. The whole crew were very nice and accommodating. They are very knowledgeable and funny. Its a must see!!!

Our tour guide was wonderful! Showed us all the nooks and crannies on the river. He was very knowledgeable, and if he didn't know the answer he made it up! Very funny too. Especially enjoyed information about Dead Horse Point and the different movies that had been made in Moab.

We took the sunset jet boat cruise (1.5 hrs long) followed by dinner. Our Captain Rory was quite humerous and loved making sharp turns in the boat to splash us all :). He was from Moab and very knowledgable of the area. We saw the indian paintings, the various areas where the rock climbers climb, many arches, and even some... More

Some people may not appreciate the homespun atomosphere surrounding this tour but we loved it. Not like your average "tour" where you're herded like cattle and treated like a number...From the initial greeter at the door before supper to the last guy assisting you back onto the dock after the boat ride--we felt welcomed and at ease. The dinner was... More
