Charlie gave us a great private guided tour of the Fiery Furnace. Right before the tour, It had snowed overnight and he offered to shift our tour to the afternoon for better access and to take advantage of afternoon sunshine. He was very attentive to our group's preferences and interests and was extremely knowledgeable about everything in the park. We... More

We showed up without any reservations and Mike the owner tried to help us get a guide. When none was available he immediately called one of his guides to come in on his day off and take us. The price was actually less than we were going to pay the other guide company and we had a completely private guide.... More

We had a private tour of Fiery Furnace with Mike of Deep Desert Expeditions on Oct 28, 2015 and it was the best tour we have ever had. Mike is very friendly and knowledgeable about the Fiery Furnace. His tour includes interesting hikes, detail explanations about the area, and wonderful helps to allow us getting through all the interesting spots.... More

Mike was a fountain of knowledge and kept up a running commentary for our entire journey through the Fiery Furnace. His enthusiasm and apparent love for Arches was contagious. I certainly felt that our private guided trip through the Fiery Furnace was enhanced well beyond what would have been possible from the Park Service guided trip. No disrespect to the... More

We had a lot of fun going on the tour and doing the adventure. There was sight-seeing, adventure, and some more difficult terrain to do. It was an experience to grow for one of us, a memory maker for another, and an adventure for the other 2 of us. Would recommend.

We had been told to get a tour for the Fiery Furnace. Like others we were too late to get a ranger led tour but lucky us, we got more. Our guide tailored the hike to our group, pointing out special views for the photographers and giving tips for safer/better handling of the rocks for the hikers. We all left... More

Like a lot of the others, we ended up with Deep Desert because the ranger tour of fiery furnace was full. Mike's small group tour was great, he helped our group of middle aged hikers with technique so we could climb around easier and was entertaining and informative about the park's history, geology, environment and future challenges. We enjoyed the... More

Wow, I tried to get tickets to the ranger guided tour and I'm so glad it was sold out. This was Soooooo much better. We only had two couples on our tour, guided by Mike- the company owner. I think he said his groups are no more than 6 or 8 while the park ranger takes groups of 25. Mike... More

We spent a few days of our two week honeymoon in Moab and this hike in the Fiery Furnace was one of the highlights. I booked the hike through Deep Desert Expeditions because I wanted a more personal tour that you can get with a Park Ranger. This tour did not disappoint! Charlie was our guide and he displayed an... We booked one of the guided Fiery Furnace hikes at Arches National Park because I did not want to take a chance on not getting a National Park hike passes. I know that we made the best decision. First the NP service hike has about 20 or so people, our guided hike had only 6. Charlie was our guide and... More
