We went to the Fiery Furnace Hike in the late afternoon with our guide Charlie - he was knowledgable and interesting. We had a varied group from competent to less adventurous hikers and he was very concerned for all. He had grown up in the area and really new the trail -we had a very interesting adventure - learned tons... More

The hike in the Firey Furnace was spectacular. Charlie was our guide and had lots of interesting facts regarding the wildlife and rock formations in the firey furnace. The hike lasted about 3 hours. It was nice and cool as the rocks blocked the sunlight for most of the hike. Charlie took many photos for us and knew all the... More

We did a day hike with Charlie in the needles district of Canyonlands National Park. Charlie knows and loves this area and it shows. It's beautifully remote. The geography is amazing and the environment beautiful. One wow moment after another. Six weeks in the U.S. - this was my favourite hike

Our guide for a private tour of Fiery Furnace in Arches NP was Charlie. He was extremely knowledgeable about the geology, flora and fauna of the canyon and kept all 5 of us (including kids of 8, 10 & 12) entranced for several hours. We were unsure whether to take a private tour instead of the Ranger-led guide but having... More

Mike was our guide for this excursion. We could not have asked for anyone more knowledgeable, respectful, and fun. He helped us through this maze safely and with a very adventurous spirit. We truly appreciated him and would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to give this a try! We went with our son and his wife and kids. At... More

Our guide Mike was awesome! This was one of the best hikes we've been to (and we've been to 11 other National Parks). The sandstone structures were beautiful. Our two teenaged sons loved scrambling on the rocks. Mike gave us such great explanation about the area's history and the current ecosystem there.

Mike is a rare guide. Although he has been there 500 times he never lost enthusiasm for what he was doing!! Our two kids 9&11 and my wife and I were definitely enjoying the fantastic views and experiences. Challenging hike but confidence building!!

We went on a tour of the Fiery Furnace with Mike - Owner of Deep Desert Expeditions. There were four of us plus a family from Tennessee. The tour/hike was great and far exceeded our expectations. This is highly recommended for anyone coming out to Moab. It certainly should be on everyone's bucket list - scenery unlike anything else on... More

We highly recommend booking a fiery furnace tour with Mike at Deep Desert Expeditions. It was the highlight of our trip to Moab. He was very knowledgable, made the hike fun and challenging. We followed animal tracks, scrambled over rocks, and crawled through arches. Our kids, 10 and 13, loved it. You are missing out if you don't do this.

We had a great day with our guide Charlie who took us through the wonderful Fiery Furnace on July 7th and it was fabulous. We were a family of 5 plus one single woman so the hike was very personal and tailored to our needs. Charlie is a self-confessed "desert rat" who is passionate about the environment and extremely knowledgable... More
