all the reviews for Mike are 5 star and with good reason. we just completed a two week trip to the region, with lots of guides, and they were all great, Mike however, was #1. if you only have one day to spend in Arches, spend it with Mike in the fiery furnace. doesn't matter on age, athletic ability, or... Thanks to all these reviewers! Obviously, I love what I do--showing off the wonders of the desert. And I can do that in many other places than the Fiery Furnace in Arches (which I do visit more than anyone else!); rock art and photo tours, hiking in Canyonlands and the surrounding area, even camping and backpacking trips throughout the region. Mike from Deep Desert took us on a guided hike through the Fiery Furnace. It was an experience that was certainly a highlight of our vacation. Mike is a Search and Rescue expert, so my wife was not concerned with safety at all. Mike found places for our 9 year old daughter to crawl through and gave challenges to our... More

Our party of 7, age range 14 to 59, spent a fabulous morning in the Fiery Furnace with Mike. Everything from booking the hike, spending 3 fun filled hours in the furnace, to leaving with great tips for the rest of our abbreviated Grand Circle trip was done with ease and enjoyment. Mike was very informative about the area and... More

if you go to Fiery Furnace, go with Mike, he is the best. He knows the area in and out and his stories, knowledge, and adventures made the tour much better than you can get with the visitor center or with someone else.

Mike Coronella (435-260-1696) met us at Arches visitor center, and drove us to Fiery Furnace. By starting as early as possible, we were able to arrive before other hikers and to take advantage of the coolest part of the day. We toured Fiery Furnace with Mike an hour longer than we expected, since he didn't count time in transit or... More

Having Mike meet us at our lodging and take us to Arches Nat. Park to hike the Fiery Furnace was the top attraction of our trip Mike knew the park in and out and having him explain the history of the park and topography was well worth it. He has a keen mind and funny demeanor that made everyone in... More

Mike was fantastic. Booking the tour was easy and cost effective for a family of four. The tour itself was terrific with only 6 people on the tour (4 of them our family). He let my sons scramble safely and encouraged them to explore. We traveled at our own pace and learned much about the Fiery Furnace and even some... More

We couldn't have done the fiery furnace without Mike. He was patient and informative with amateur hikers like us ( average age of group 60). The hike was the most amazing hike we had while in Utah and Mike lives and breathes the fiery furnace. Mike will also customize hikes to your endurance level and interests---rockhounding, petroglyphs etc. I would... More

When looking to do the Fiery Furnace hike, I considered using the Ranger-led tour, but figured having a smaller group setting would be less rushed and would give my family (including 8 & 11 year old girls) a chance to explore a little bit and ask lots of Q&A. I hit a home run by selecting Mike Coronella of Deep... More

We were fortunate enough to book a guided tour to the Fiery Furnace in Arches National Park with Mike at the last minute (literally the night before). Mike was a wonderful guide. He knew his way around the Fiery Furnace like the back of his hand, gave us great photography tips, and regaled us with lots of interesting facts about... More
