We just spent an incredibly enjoyable and exciting day with Herb and Melissa. We did the combination trip with canyoneering in the morning, delicious lunch at Red Cliffs Lodge, followed by packrafting on the Colorado. Melissa is an amazingly kind, patient and knowledgable woman who guided our family of 5 down two rappels- the first into Medieval canyon and the... More

Our group of about 15 adventurous women rappelled with Desert Highlights in May 2015. This was our 3rd rappel with this company and they were as fantastic as before. The three guides were very patient and helped all of us through our fright to be successful in completing all the rappels. With the guides' assistance, our group climbed up and... More

We did a group all day Rapelling tour with herb, mellissa, and jim. We had a great time and the guides were always there at every questionable turn. The patience of job. I had the best time enjoyed the hike and the Rapelling. Had a good lunch with wraps, lunch meat , cheeses, avocado tomato, humus, cuke, peppers, I called... More

It was between Moab Cliffs & Canyons and Desert Highlights for a canyoneering adventure. Desert Highlights had fewer reviews, but great reviews, so I decided to go with them....plus they do the simo off Morning Glory Arch/Bridge. My husband and I (early 40's) couldn't have been more happy with our choice!! Our guide was Melissa, who is just a wonderful,... More

A second visit to Moab and trip with Desert Highlights just confirms that this is a class operation. It's not necessarily about presentation, rather the present moment. It's obvious that Herb and Melissa love the outdoors and teaching folks through their enthusiasm. Without a doubt, my children have been changed for the better by these two wonderful folks. Thanks Desert... More

My 10 and 11 year old daughters (along with myself) did the canyoneering trip with Melissa called Medieval Chambers. Melissa and Herb were both great. Herb and I traded a few e-mails and phone calls to set up the trip and he was always friendly and helpful. Then we arrived for our morning adventure and were equally impressed with the... More

We did the Granary Canyon trip and the Pedal Paddle Pedal trip. We had a hard time deciding between the two so we just did both! So happy we did. They were both wonderful and so different from one another. Our guide Melissa was fantastic! She always made you feel comfortable on the more difficult parts of the trips and... More

Our 6 hour canyoneering trip was the HIGHLIGHT of our trip!! My husband and I are pretty fit so we let our guides recommend a trail, and it was out of this world. We hiked out to a remote spot, beyond where we ever would have ventured on our own, and climbled, scrambled, squeezed up a chimney, and rappelled 3... More

WOW!!! Talk about an experience, we had already done the zip lineing & taken a plane ride over the park but I'm glad we did this last because it would have been hard to top this! It was a great combination of thrilling adventure, hiking & sight seeing in one. Our guides Herb & Eb were beyond knowledgeable & skilled,... More

We went on the Canyoneering trip to Morning Glory Arch. Our guide was fantastic. The kids are 9 and 11 and none of us had rapelled before. My daughter was very nervous and the guide took her down the first rapell. She got enough confidence that she was the first one off the arch. There were two guides at the... More
