In 2006 or '07, they grated the daylights out of this entire road (Kane Creek). Prior to this, it was all washboards, washouts, bumpy, rocky, and SLOW. In this condition, it was rarely used, except by the most devout adventure seekers & campers, leaving you in the presence of like-minded folks. Since it was smoothed out, it has become dangerously... We've done it twice, the second time was as fun as the first. Most of it is flat and easy jeeping but a lot of scenery. Awesome overlook views of the Colorado river. A very nice day trip. At the end there are steep switch backs leading up to the road that takes you to the dead horse overlook or... More

Long trail offers rock, sand, lots of wash bed (creek bed). Has some gnarly narrow passthroughs. Nice climb at the end of trail to some great views. Worth doing, bring lots of water.

Left Moab at 10:30 am, started on Hurrah Pass to Chicken Corners and back for a total trip of 5.5 hours including lots of photo opportunities and food breaks. A great road with a 4-wheel drive rented in town. This 40 mile round trip was fantastic. The views phenomenal and a great time. Easy to follow trail.... Highly recommended.

Rented a four wheel drive for a week in Moab. This is a wonderful drive best done early in the morning for good pictures and to avoid the traffic later in the day. The views are fantastic and the road leads to chicken corners.

My family rented a 4 wheel razor from Moab Powersports and traveled the day around Kane creek and Hurrah Pass. Kane Creek gets a little technical with the terrain. The creek was dry in mid June so I can't say much about the creek. You will cross it many times traveling up the pass. We ventured to the top of... More

Great views, easy trail up to Hurrah Pass. Stop to see the ancient petroglyphs on the rock on the way up to the Pass. Going down the west side (down from Hurrah Pass towards Chicken Corners) is a little bit harder but a stock vehicle driven with care can make it easily.

This trail is also called kane creek road right out of moab, just turn west at mc donalds. We biked the first couple miles up hill. After that it was a steep down hill decent that we didn't want to ride back up. Instead, we got back in the car, a stock suv with low range gears will do, and... More
