Visited in Aug 2014 on a family vacation. It was like nothing we had ever seen before. Would recommend hiking early in the day and bring lots of water. We were lucky and got to go on a moonlight hike during the Aug super moon.

Actually, I have some mixed feelings about this park. I hate drive throughs and like to have some trails to hike. But there are not so many if you do not like to hike along the roads. Which I do not. Some of the "trails" leading from the parking view points to the actual arches are barely a 5 minute... More

We were on our way from Glenwood Springs, Colorado and wanted to see the sunset at the Grand Canyon so we only passed through for 45 minutes. It was long enough to visit the gift shop and go to the first set of arches, Double Arch and both Window Arches. Plus a nice view riding in. It wasn't crowded and... More

Stunning views. Better than Canyonlands NP in our opinion. and we had a good day considering it was Labor Day weekend. Plenty of places to pull over, hikes to Delicate Arch (both long and short), and a good Visitor Center. Stop there first; then go on. Plan to spend more time than just riding up and back.

Arches is smaller than Canyonlands, but it packs a wallop. The hikes can be short or long depending on what you want. Don't miss the Windows area.

Even if you are just passing through the area, find some way to fit in at least a couple of hours here. We could easily have played here for days, but even just a half day was one of the high points of our trip.

Rock formations are fantastic. Particularly liked the colors near sunset. Great little hikes all around, although the kids eventually got bored with "another rock."

Arches is one of the prettiest places I have ever visited. I cannot say anything bad about the park. It's a "must see" in Utah! Take the hikes! Be sure to pack water and wear good shoes. This was a great adventure!
