For a great view of the canyons and the river this is a must do ride. To go to Moab and like to go off road and see what few see this is the trip to take. This is a one hundred twenty mile loop all dirt two track ride .You will start up top on the paved road and... More

this trip is awesome and has very distinct sections. the first half is rougher but with awesome views of the canyons toward dead horse point along the river. the 2nd half is smoother in sections and has a lot of different soil types, landforms and is along the river for a large portion of it as well. we had zero... WOW! This is amazing. Get in your 4x4 or truck and have a thrilling, breathtaking and amazing time. This is not a trip for cars! You need a high clearance vehicle. This is amazing especially the trip from 313 to the bottom of the canyon. Lots of small hikes to see the Colorado, and natural bridges.

Before you even consider driving this road, don't make the same mistake I did. Research it. Research it well. This is not a short jaunt through Canyonlands. This is not designed for your 4WD Subaru, small truck or SUV. This is not even designed for a jeep unless you have proper gauge tires designed for off-roading. What this road (and... More

This is a rough 4WD trail with several overlooks of the Colorado River and canyons. Some of the trail can be seen about 1400 feet below the Grand View Point in Canyon Lands National Park. The get there you must take Shaffer Switchbacks Trail, which turns off Highway 313 a few miles prior to the Canyon Lands National Park visitor... More

The a White Rim is a short trail on paper, but looong when you're actually on it. The trail gets a little gnarly in some places, but the views are amazing.

I have ridden the White Rim trail two times on my mountain bike and hope to return for more. The views change with nearly every mile, you are always seeing something new. The restrooms and campgrounds are primitive but that's what I expect, to get away from the world. We have ridden in groups, some with great bike skills and... More

Book your permit early to get the best dates and camp sites. We had a blast with 12 bikers and 2 sag wagons. We camped at Airport, then Candlestick (which made for a long second day but a short last day), then Labyrinth. All of the camp spots are good after a long day of bike riding - Google around... More

It's a freaking DOOZY!!! So either pack lots of food and water for a long day trip and be in the kind of shape Lance Armstrong is in, or be smart, and pack a tent and supplies and camp overnight. Then wake up to an awesome sunrise and finish the ride...good for couples but guys, don't drag your girlfriends up... More

We did the entire route in a day in our jeep. It's a long one day trip but more than possible without to much rush. Scenery is undiscribable. The route is fairly easy with a high clearence vehicle, only downside is it is very narrow making it hard to pass mountain bikes or slow moving vehicles, also it's not one... More
