Have been going there on an annual hiking trip since it opened and have enjoyed it as a wrap-up to our hike. Who ever is managing the place now needs a lesson in customer service as we watched several groups wait for a while to be seated, we were never told when the place was shutting down (which was an... more

The eateries in Harper's Ferry sell dirt cheap food at high prices because of their overhead (rent, etc.) costs. So, most of the eateries are not going to be doing too good in terms of food quality. I ate there over the course of two days during the weekend of the 150th anniversary John Brown Raid. Having prior knowledge (forty... more

This is the best place to eat if you are looking for a good view. (Although there is really not a bad view of the mountains or rivers in town) Food is not remarkable. Once had an alfredo dish, and hey forgot to add the cheese, I had a plate of pasta in buttermilk...disgusting. However, we also had a tuna... more

My husband and I brought friends from Pittsburgh to visit Harpers Ferry over Labor Day weekend. We decided about mid afternoon we wanted to stop and have an early dinner and a frosty beverage. Unfortunately, we chose the Secret Six Tavern. When we arrived, we waited ten mintues before being seated. A woman actually yelled at us for looking for... more

We visitied the Secret Six for dinner on our first night in town. We sat on the patio overlooking the train station. Our waitress was Lisa- efficient, and friendly. Beer was cold and they offered a decent variety. The menu has a rather broad selection but we stayed with the tavern food. I had the french dip, my husband had... more

The Secret Six is a great pub set in a historic, unique old Civil War era house. It sure was a treat after a long day of hiking. I was fortunate enough to attend on a night where a man was playing live Irish Folk tunes, drawing connections to the Civil War era by giving historical stories about the tunes... more

I went there with my family for lunch. I got the Union Burger. Its pretty much just a bacon cheeseburger. It was huge and came with fries. I ate most of it and am still stuffed and its almost 7 at night. The waitress was very nice and talkative and told us some stories. I've been there before and would... more

This was my first visit to West Virginia and our first stop landed us in historic Harpers Ferry. I parked my truck and pop up trailer and soon realized how hungry we were. We then found ourselves at the Secret Six Tavern. We were greeted in a friendly manner and seated promptly. I was taken back by the beautiful scenery... more
