Westwind Potters is a nationally recognized source for quality, affordable, handcrafted American goods. While we place an emphasis on functional pottery, we also offer unique pieces from a variety of artists and mediums, including work by juried artisans from "Tamarack: The Best of West Virginia", basketry, turned wood, hooked rug art, glass, regional paintings, notecards, and more! We're confident your purchases will find a valued place in your life.

By expanding Westwind's representation of regional artists & mediums, and by adding visiting artist trunk shows, we hope you will enjoy returning here, making new discoveries with each visit.

Independently owned and operating since 1983, founder Jeffery Kabatznick established Westwind as a working pottery studio. While pottery production stopped in 1993, the shop remains in his family and is noted by The Washington Post's 'Roadtrip' as, "A great place to visit."

Nice selection of pottery

Good selection of nice pottery, not too pricey. Cute trivets. Also bought some homemade bloody Mary mix here and it was very good!

There was some of the most beautiful pieces in this store. I really enjoyed walking through and looking at the art in these pieces.

This shop had a neat variety of thrown pottery as well as some slab built pieces. Prices were reasonable and the pieces were original and enjoyable to view.

Westwind has been around for a long time. They carry a number of Potters from across the country offering a variety of styles and price points. Great place to get a gift or a special something for yourself!

A locally owned shop with local employees that showcases local Potters wares. Grouped by the potter, you can get a feel for their style. Their contact information is next to their display so if you want something now shown you can contact them. Prices are not "cheap", but they are fair - these are handcrafted works of art. And beautiful... More

This large shop in the historic district of Harpers Ferry has a wide selection of pottery, grouped according to the potter who made it. I have bought Christmas presents here several times, and have always found something appropriate. The prices of some of the items here are quite expensive, but they are handcrafted works of art, not mass-produced. Probably the... More
