My wife wanted to try some day hikes on the A.T., and the staff at the Conference HQ office were very helpful. They took into account that we didn't want too much difficulty, and they offered several options, pointing out where we could leave our car and get dropped off. It all worked out perfectly!

I live across the street from the Appalachina Trail HQ, and I often see hikers heading there to get their picture taken to commemorate having walked half of the trail. It is staffed by friendly volunteers, has a gift shop with tee-shirts, etc., and a cool very large relief map of the east coast, showing the trail route through the... More

It is a place where you can find all the information you can imagine about the Appalachian Trail, and have the opportunity to talk with people that are experienced in doing the trail. Also they have merchandises for your memories. Don't miss the picture in frint of the building with the ATC symbol behind.

Very informative little place. The topographical map of the AT is really cool to see. My family enjoyed our visit.

Very interesting place. Although not a hiker there is a topographical map of the trail along with photo albums of all the hikers that come through Harpers Ferry

Whether you are planning to hike the trail or just learn more about the area, this is the place to visit. When my son was doing a home school project about the Appalachian Trail, the people here were awesome and even gave him a Jr. Trail Guide book to use as part of his research. Best of all they were... Not lots to see but still interesting to look at some of the testimonial posters of through hikers on the AT, plus the volumes of photo books for people who stopped through the ATC HQ on their way North or South. Nice people. We also took time to look at a National Geographic video on the AT while there--very worthwhile... More
