Rick was Awesome!!

What an excellent tour! Rick did a fantastic job leading the tour, telling the stories, and keeping us entertained. What else can I say? Whooosh! And I'm gone.

This was the first ghost/historical tour that I have ever experienced as i was always reluctant because of the bad jokes and bordom. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this was not at all the case. Rick is a great storyteller and it didn't seem rehearsed at all. He kept me and the others engaged for the whole 2... More

I was always skeptical about Ghost Tours in general. You have to decide if you believe or not. But the people who did this tour were amazing. The stories they tell are not just about Ghosts sightings but also contain lots of information on the town itself. Well worth the money. Bring an open mind and you will enjoy this... More

We were lucky to be a small group that night so we had special interaction with the host. Rick is a very talented historian and shared his love of the period music. The ghost stories are not that scary but the history and people behind it are interesting especially as Rick knows the people who experienced some of the unexplainable... More

Rick is an excellent story teller. He kept all ages entertained with his stories. Even if you are not into ghosts the stories tell the history of the area . Bring a camera and walking shoes. I would definitely recommend this as part of your trip to Harper's Ferry

This is an excellent tour. It made our visit to Harper's Ferry complete. The guide is an historian who keeps you spellbound throughout the tour. Have fun taking photos along the way.

After growing up on stories from Shirley Dougherty it was with cautious optimism that I agreed (upon the urging of my wife and two daughters) to once again take the ghost tour. I am so pleased to say that I really enjoyed it! Mr. Garland injected humor, history, music, and of course the haunting stories of Harper's Ferry into the... More

My husband and I took our 2 daughters ages 14 and 8 on this tour. If you are looking for terrifying, gory ghost tour, this is not the tour for you. But, if you are looking for a great storyteller and guide to a historical town, this is it. The tour is family friendly and very interesting. Wear comfortable walking... More

I have wanted to revisit Harpers Ferry since after 2005 when I did a thru' hike on the Appalachian Trail. Did not have the time to see the town then, but have read very vaguely about some history. Glad to have joined this interesting Ghost Tour and Rick Garland did a good job to combine some entertainment with the history.

The tour was fun and informative. Rick did an outstanding job telling about the history along with stories of the hauntings, even had a few songs thrown in which was great. My 12 year old granddaughter loved it and really enjoyed interacting with Rick.
