Rick Garland does a fantastic job on this tour! It's a great mix of history, ghost stories and tying the two together. We did this with our 14 year old son and near the end as we were standing on a dark street lit only by Rick's lantern he said, "I'm beginning to regret going on this tour." (meaning he... More

The walk around Harper's Ferry was a great blend if local history and local lore. Rick Garland was informative and entertaining. Looking forward to signing up for his historic daytime tour in Harper's Ferry the next time we return.

This is an excellent way to take your significant other out on. Rick Garland does a good job helping you get closer for a snuggle by setting the mood. As it gets dark, the lantern and historic looking street lights helps with the romantic vibes. Although the stories aren't exactly romantic in nature, you can always tell her you will... More

Our guide Rick made the tour amazing. We started out the tour outdoors and had to come inside to the church for the last half due to lightning. The tour is the perfect balance of war history with family tales and humor. Rick was able to answer other history questions that we had as well as provide the ghost stories... More

This was the highlight of our July vacation. We went as a 3-family-generation; and the youngest - age 6 - to eldest - age 77 were enthralled by the unique style of story telling by "the big man in black with the lantern." Everything that I had forgotten about Harpers Ferry suddenly came to life. The rivers, the coal carrying... More

Rick was awesome! He included a good amount of history and humor to the tour and made it a fun experience for me and my family who was visiting from out of town! Will definitely bring a group of buds to do this again

My family and I love ghost tours and try to do them on every trip. This was by far one of the best tours we have ever done. Rick had the perfect combination of historical information, spooky stories and highly entertaining. Having done a ghost tour two days earlier in Gettysburg and tired from a day of hiking aroud West... More

Rick was great. His costume was perfect for the tour. He is well informed on the history and the buildings. $14 is soooooo worth it. He keeps you awake be yelling once in awhile. He got me on the "PIERCING blue eyes!" :) It's a great tour overall. It's not boring at all. This coming from a 13 year old... More

My wife, daughter and I loved this ghost tour. The stories were fantastic and brought to life through Rick's vivid and masterful storytelling. If you love history and mysterious ghost stories, plus love theatrical-style storytelling, then this tour is for you. We even snapped a few photos of light orbs in Hogs Alley.
