We didn't realize that the primo island to view was Devil's Island when we booked, so we booked the longer "3 hours tour"!! Due to a quick change in weather, the plans changed and we never made it to Devil's Island, which was probably the most scenic area. Because of safety concerns the trip was changed, but not shortened. Every... More

We had greatly anticipated our tour of the Apostle Islands and when the boat tour started, it was sunny, in the upper 60's and very calm. However, within the first 45 minutes, it clouded over, the wind came up quickly and fiercely and the temperature dropped. Calm turned to waves and we couldn't believe we still had over two hours... Loved our boat cruise and tour. Great way to see the Apostle Islands. Enjoyed the fall color and especially Devils Island. Good narrator with fun local stories.

I wanted to go on this tour for two reasons: to see lighthouses and sea caves. We did see Devils Island lighthouse and the sea caves underneath it. I thought we would be seeing more sea caves but we did not. And, due to the weather that day, we didn't get to see Raspberry Island lighthouse. The captain handled the... More

It was a perfect sunny day. Two boats were used because all the tourists came out! Calm water, blue skies, upper 60s. Great guide who explained geology, history of the islands, storms, folklore, industry of eras gone by. My favorites were devils island (lots of rock ledges and sea caves). I took about 100 pics on that tour....geology was impressive.... More

My husband and I went on the glass bottom cruise. I thought it was reasonably priced. We were able to see a few of the wrecks that were close to the water line, but the water was too murky that day to see anything underneath, because of this the captain took us to see a few more spots that were... A 3 hour cruise (didn't see the professor or Marianne) around some of the islands that make up the Apostle Islands National Park. The seats are very uncomfortable, especially if you're on the short side. The lighthouse on Raspberry Island is supposedly on the tour, but it was bypassed entirely. Would not recommend.

You don't see many rock formations in the water, all of the islands look the same as you motor on by. The sea caves are at the furthest end of the trip at Devils Island and there is a whole lot of nothing in between. Now the captain did his best with history lessons and some local lore but the... We took the Apostle Island grand tour with Captain Cal. He was quite well informed and informative. Best part of the cruise was seacaves. He did pretty good routine during cruise and visited and chatted with passengers. Only caution is - this is very weather dependent - you need relatively good weather to enjoy this. weather might also affect where... More

We originally made reservations for the glass bottom boat tour but the wind and waves were stronger than normal and was explained to us that the ship wrecks were not visible. So we basically did the grand tour which was still amazing. Got to see the sea caves at Devil's Island. We were not told this until on the boat... More
