We had a group of 13 women (who had minimal kayaking experience...and camping experience) and had a FABULOUS time on our kayaking trip to Sand Island. We were all a little nervous because of our inexperience with kayaking, but the guides (Jamiah, Katie & Randy) made us feel extremely safe and were so helpful with everything. They truly made our... My husband and I have kayaked a few times, but our guides gave us a couple trips that improved our strokes in short order. The sea caves were beyond belief, and getting up close and personal was so much better than a boat ride. Our guides were personable, obviously loved what they did, and were really knowledgeable about the geology... More

This review is specifically for people like me who were wondering if they are fit enough or brave enough to kayak in Lake Superior. The answer is, "Yes" and these guys will keep you safe. While working to get into better shape, I'm still not doing anything more than the occasional walk or short bike ride. And while I had... More

Living Adventure provided an amazing opportunity to see the sea caves. The guides did a great job explaining how to use the equipment to newbies and showing the beauty of the caves. The weather and conditions were perfect and we were able to explore many of the little nooks and crannies along the coast. I very much enjoyed how the... More

We booked a full day kayaking to the sea caves through Living Adventure - from the minute we parked to the minute we left, it was a welcoming, inspiring, and engaging experience. Our guides Austin and Eli made you feel comfortable no matter your kayaking experience and shared lore and facts on the region with a little comedy tossed in... More

Our family of 4 booked a half day trip with living Adventures based upon Trip Advisor reviews and by word of mouth from a friend. We are very glad we booked with them as we had a wonderful time. We lucked out with the weather as the temp. was perfect and the Lake was a flat as glass. We loved... More

I have been wanting to kayak the sea caves of the Apostle Islands National Seashore for over two decades. The time that I last made the attempt, I had a husband and three young children. We were staying in a hotel in Duluth overnight prior to our going to the Apostle Islands when very early in the morning we were... More

My husband did the two-night overnight "Beaches, Waves, and Caves" experiences. Our guide was very friendly and warm and welcoming. He took excellent care of us. Teaching us the basics of paddling and taught us how to do wet-exits, capsize our kayak, and get back into in from the water. This freaked me out at first, be he said we... More

We just returned from Bayfield and experienced a full day sea cave adventure with Living Adventure guides Eldie and Eli. The trip was awesome. The guides were helpful, entertaining and informative about the area's history and sea kayaking. The equipment was excellent and the lunch was scrumptious. If you are thinking about kayaking to the sea cave, this is a... More
