Great trip thru the history of Haight Ashbury. Tour covered the history of this district and hit some of significant locations from it's hey day in the 60's. Terrific tour guide.

I don't know if things have changed with Izu but serious, I can't believe the 4 and 5 star reviews. I am not a difficult customer but this was ridiculous. Firstly she was 15 minutes late and seemed very shall we say "strange" . I'm sure she is a lovely person but as a tour guide- no. We were hoping... More

We spent a great Saturday morning walking around Haight Ashbury with Kevin Carney (aka Stan Flouride). He gave us so much information about the area, including the hippie era in the 1960's and 1970's. He told us about all the good, the bad and the tragic - The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, Anissa Jones, the fire department, the trees, the... More

Please, do yourself a favor and do not take this tour. I am baffled by the amount of positive reviews and the scarcity of negative reviews. Unfortunately, I believe that what is happening here is that Izu, our tour guide, is a nice friendly person so people are hesitant to write the sad truth about this tour. I however feel... More

Nice walking tour with Izus. Technically there could have been a better tour but not a better tour guide. Everything presented during the tour is readily available on wikipedia, but it was nice to see the sights. Tour guide was late and is really out of it for only being 59, i think she is over compensating with her "hippie"... More

What I liked most about the tour was guide Izu's deep knowledge about the neighborhood. She starts with its historical beginnings and as the tour continues, you will gain a full understanding of what happened in the Haight for about a 100-year timespan. She was personally acquainted with many of the neighborhood's most famous residents and she imparts a lot... More

I loved this tour. It was pouring rain, but that didn't deter Izu from walking us through a very lively and informative tour. I felt like I was meandering the streets of this historical neighbourhood with an old friend. What a character; so full of life and lore. I highly recommend, especially if you love the music and are curious... More

We took the tour with Stan Flouride and had a great day. He started talking at 10am sharp and kept it up until well after 1pm. A wealth of knowledge of the area and SF in general. Although this tour includes plenty of photo ops of Janis Joplin's house and The Grateful Dead's hangout, Stan included a very interesting narrative... More

The tour guide, Izu, was a very friendly woman with a cute little dog. Seemed happy to answer questions and was enthusiastic to see us. We walked to a few houses where the Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin lived. She recommended some good restaurants around the area. However, the tour wasn’t that informative. Didn’t really give any dates or relevant... More
