We met Jay at the corner with his sign as advertised on June 12, and he immediately began talking to us about the various architecture styles and homes we would be seeing. He is very informative and answers questions easily. We really enjoyed this tour and recommend it to anyone who is new to San Francisco. Jay puts the group... More

We toured a large Queen Anne Victorian that was a school at one time and walked leisurely through the streets admiring the lovely homes. Jay avoided the big hills so it was... More

Jay shared an incredible amount of architectural and historical knowledge on this outstanding walking tour. We traversed many areas and were able to enjoy many examples of the different building styles of San Francisco. Well done!

My wife and I enjoyed the walk with Jay and 10 others fellow travelers. Jay brings the history and architecture to life during this short and relatively flat walk. He packs a lot of information into each block and the pace is medium with lots of stops to discuss the buildings. Great way to spend 2.5 hours and learn more... More

I only had 2 days in San Francisco, and this walking tour with Jay was the highlight of my visit. Such a pleasure to wander the historical streets of San Francisco with a learned local who is happy to share all kinds of insights - not only about local architecture, history and landscape, but also the impact of social trends... We enjoyed this tour. Good explanation from Jay. He answered the group's questions. A nice outing far from the touristy places. We ended up on Union Street where Jay recommended good restaurants for lunch.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the Victorian Home Walk with Jay. We had never visited San Francisco and this very affordable walk made us feel that we had seen special parts of the city that were not near our hotel on Union Square. Jay has tons of interesting information about the homes and the area. None of the walking... More
