Outstanding! Jay was friendly, spoke clearly and loudly enough, has a vast knowledge of the local culture, and the walking was easy, with frequent stops. Oh, and it was incredibly interesting. We have lived in the Bay area for more than 30 years, but Jay added tremendously to our knowledge of these fascinating homes and their neighborhoods. Even his recommendation... More

We had such an enjoyable hour and a half tour with Jay Gifford on the Victorian architecture of Pacific Heights. He is both engaging and extremely knowledgeable. We felt especially lucky that we were the only couple on the tour though I'm certain Jay could handle a large group with ease.We learned a lot but were not overwhelmed and Jay addressed... The Victorian Home Walk, followed by shopping and lunch on Union Street was a great way to spend my day as my husband... More

Jay's presentation during this walking tour of Pacific Heights was entertaining and informative on the Victorian architecture in SF. He knew his SF history, spoke clearly, and was very responsive to our questions. The homes were beautiful. The tour was just the right length and the walk avoided steep climbs. When we returned to the snowy East Coast today, the... More

The tour was interesting to those in our group that were there for various reasons: the history, houses, politics and celebrity. Jay has everything planned out from start to finish. He shares the details of many architectural elements of Victorian, Edwardian and other special buildings their histories and uses. He was very helpful in recommending What to do and see... More

My wife and I recently took Jay's informative tour of San Francisco Victorian houses. We found him very informative and engaging. I am a Realtor and have a good knowledge of homes, but I too learn some new and interesting facts.
