If you are short on time, but want to take in as many attractions as possible, then the 60 minute Golden Gate Bridge cruise is perfect. The boat ride takes you out to the bridge, then around Alcatraz Island while giving you some great back ground stories and information. The $30 price tag is a great bargain. Next time we're... More

The Bay cruise is about 90minutes. It cruises from the Pier Dock Gate - where we able to get closer to the United States Penitentiary or commonly known as the "Alcatraz" and pass through the bridges of San Francisco Bridge and the Oakland Bridge. Inside the vessel can buy something to eat. A lot of people enjoyed this amazing boat... More

We were on the last cruise of the day in mid January. For photographers, just know that this means the bridge and area is perfect for photography at that time. We were given individual headsets that you can set to your native language. very helpful and informative. We actually stayed on the front of the boat for most of the... More

I bought the 1 1/2 boat tour (blue line). Very great price $37.00 per person. We took the last tour of the day. Friendly, clean, and organized. A gentleman on the boat offer to take photos (forgot to get his name). The boat slows down for better view. Headphones and a audio were given for personal tours in English, Thai,... More

Less than $40.00 and an hour and a half ferry ride to see the city from a boat in the bay, sign me up again! You literally get to go from GG bridge to the BA bridge, and you'll get to take some remarkable photos. First time CA visitor, my first stop was Fisherman's Wharf, and I had a couple... More

We took the Alcatraz tour which did not put us ON the island, but circled around it, with a very interesting narrative. What a great way to spend an hour and a half, learning about the city and the prison and getting some sightseeing done as well. This made our SF GoCard worth it!

We took the Golden Gate Bay Cruise, and we really enjoyed this tour, you get a really close view of Alcatraz (in case you aren't planning to go inside), and they take you under the Golden Gate as well. It's also very informative if you are not familiar with the history of the city. Totally recommend it! (We were able... More

The ferry cruise itself was actually good and informative! Too bad the weather was very foggy and rainy at the same time. The crews were very friendly and they helped everyone with taking pictures. If the weather is good, it is totally recommended to do the bridge-to-bridge cruise!

Took the basic 1-hour cruise from Fisherman's Wharf out under the Bridge and back around Alcatraz. Good audio commentary on headsets (multiple language options included) with interesting background to the history of the area. Recommended for any visit to the city.
