Great way to see Yosemite...but very odd ending!!

Overall, this is a great way to see Yosemite without doing the drive, wondering what to see, etc. We arrived as instructed at 6:40 am just outside the ferry building. Clearly this... read more

On the description and itinerary they state that the train ride is 2-3 hours one way but neglects to mention length of shuttle bus ride,to and from Yosemite, which was 2 hours one way. That was 4 hours that I was not aware of. Checked the site once home and did find that info at bottom of page for all tours... More

Overall, this is a great way to see Yosemite without doing the drive, wondering what to see, etc. We arrived as instructed at 6:40 am just outside the ferry building. Clearly this is the time set because they know some people are always late. The people who showed up at 6:55 were the same people who were late boarding the... More

We also took the 11:45am tour with Linda & Duncan on July 18th. It was fabulous. Linda was very informative and volunteered to take pictures of families so everyone could pose in front of a landmark, which I greatly appreciated. Duncan, our driver, was also very well informed and quite funny. My husband, 12 year old daughter, and 8 year... More

We took the 11:45 am. tour with Linda as our guide. It was the most beautiful Saturday, July 18, in San Francisco. We got to the Ferry Bldg. a bit early which was great as they have a Saturday Farmer's Mkt. in front of the Ferry Bldg. Oh, the flowers, coffees, bakery items, mushrooms, and gorgeous vegetables are big, bold... More

We had a small group of 7 for a four hour tour of the bay. Our guide, Cary, was full of information and horrible jokes, haha. I think he almost tricked a kid into jumping into the water to swim with the dolphins. We all lucked out with the weather, it was absolutely gorgeous. Fun day for sure!

We took the five hour shuttle, walking, and ferry San Francisco tour. My husband found the tour and made all the reservations. He did a good job! We met at the ferry building at 9 am. Left promptly, I like things that run on time. We would drive and listen to interesting and informative information then get off and walk... More

One lane closed on the Golden Gate, so no bridge, no ferry ride, no Sausalito, did not even go to the fortune cookie factory. It was replaced with a park drop off, the 70's neighborhood drive through, and Pier 39, which is almost where we started. The tour guide was relatively boring. Overall poor experience, the tour in LA was... More

Great tour. Very organized and friendly staff. We felt that we got to see 90% of what we wanted to see. A drive thru Castro and a stop at the Japanese tea garden would have made it a perfect tour!

Excellent tour guide! Very friendly, informative and personal. Mondavi winery well worth the trip. Andretti winery was a big sales pitch; I felt like I was in a used car sales room. Ménage à Trois Winery a complete waste of time; nothing about how the wine is made or their vineyards, just buy, buy, buy this wine! You get a... More

Although our tour guide was very helpful, informative, and courteous, i would have preferred that the captain of the boat was our guide so we can relish in the sites without a tour guide in our way. I felt a little embarrassed he had to be moving out of our way to snap pics and video tape. Maybe it was... More

Staying in Financial District

Neighborhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
