From the minute that the Big Red Shiny Fire Truck comes into view, this tour is just great! Marilyn and Robert not only conduct a tour, they also provide you with entertainment. Where else do can you dress up in fireman jackets, ride a shiny 1955 Fire Truck, see awesome sights AND be entertained by singing and dancing? Throughout the... more

My boyfriend took myself and his mum on this tour when we were in San Fran over the Labor day weekend.... it was certainly memorable - the crew were so energetic you had to love them! Take your camera there are opportunities to get photos of the bridge at a few different angles (if your quick). We also gained some... more

If you've got young children and are wanting to get a good look at the neighbourhoods around San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge - get on board! This very engaging tour in "the big, shiny, red Mack fire engine" (1955) is a must. Captain Robert and his wife Marilyn do a marvellous job of making the 75 minute... more

Travelling with 2 boys, we decided to book the " Fire Engine Tour" - it was fantastic! Not your typical tour, but rather the most fun, interesting if not, most unusual way to see San Francisco! Marilyn is a gem and we all spent the rest of our holiday singing the song - ding ding!!!!!! Thanks - it was brilliant... more

We had a fabulous time! It is a great tour, and Captain Robert and Marilyn couldn't be nicer or more fun. Ride in an open air vintage fire engine and enjoy the sights and the stories. This is an experience you can't duplicate and shouldn't miss. We had ages 5 - 47, and all loved it! more

I booked this tour for myself and my two kids based on all the great reviews here, but WOW what a waste of time and money. For the $110 we paid, I could have rented a convertible and driven across the Golden Gate Bridge AND stopped in Sausalito. It's faster to pick-up at Hertz than the 30 mins it took... more

I just returned from the firetruck tour today (August 2009) and we had a BLAST! It's pricey, but worth it. We (me and 2 kids, 8 and 6) are local and met up with out of state friends with kids who are 7 and 5 yo. When we arrived we were offered a bathroom key, which I desperately needed and... more

I'm not a big fan of tours, but I loved this one! You ride on a beautifully restored 1955 Fire Engine. We're all given real fire jackets to wear (which really helped cause it's cold going over the bridge). The tour goes from the Cannery by the Palace of Fine Arts, Fort Mason and then over the Golden Gate Bridge,... more

It was our first time in San Francisco. Had seen this trip on line and we were not disappointed. Our kids are 4 and 6 and they had a ball (as did Mammy and Daddy !!) Learned loads including a few new songs. Great picture opportunities too. I would highly recommend it especially to families. Tip: Wear something warm and... more

I took this tour with my family this weekend, and would love to do it again. I have never seen the city like this and I have been to San Francisco dozens of times. The perspective from the Fire Engine, combined with the unique perspective of our guides/entertainers was a real treat. I think it is about as close as... more
