Description: Bay Voyager is happy to announce the opening of our new location at Pier...
Bay Voyager is happy to announce the opening of our new location at Pier 39 in San Francisco! The range of tours offered by Bay Voyager include viewing historic ships, visiting former mooring sites of abandoned gold rush ships, and experiencing active estuaries populated by cargo ships and tug boats. You’ll see the San Francisco waterfront, cruise under the Golden Gate Bridge, around Alcatraz, Under the Bay Bridge to the Port of Oakland, past AT&T Park (Home to the San Francisco Giants) and Back to Pier 39. While Bay Voyager does have specific routes, deviation is an integral part of the experience, making each adventure an engaging and exhilarating encounter.According to owner and captain, Charles Jennings, “we feel there is a need to provide more intimate and individualized tours that travel closer and give more in depth guided tours. By being in a small and agile vessel, guests can have an up close and personal adventure while traveling to all corners of the always-fascinating bay.”

This was a very fun trip! Our tour guide was funny and very knowledgable about the city. He kept the ride interesting and genuinely wanted us all to have a fantastic time. We learned a lot about the city and even got to explore sides of San Francisco not a lot of people know about. The ride itself was fun... More

The spirit of San Francisco's history and present is captured perfectly with this experience. Captain Charles is a true ambassador for the city and especially it's strong ties to the maritime world. This tour also represents one of the most fascinating aspects of today's San Francisco - passionate people who bring a fresh angle and energy to an established industry.... More

Really stunning visit of the bay - from beyond the golden gate to treasure island (where you see a surprising parking space for a Mini Cooper!) Charles is really a great storyteller about sf and its history (Phoenix 1 the firefighter boat for example!!!). Be warmly dressed, Charles provides the gear to stay dry among the waves!!!

I have been to San Francisco before, but never on the bay (short trip to Alcatraz doesn't count). This time i had only 1,5 days there and i decided this was the time to get that off the list. Now i like being on the water and boats, what i don't like is when there are crowds jammed on the... More

We had a great time with Charles as our tour guide for a 90-minute tour of the SF Bay. There were only three of us on board that day, and I wondered if the trip would be cancelled as I didn't think that only three tickets would cover his costs. I needn't have worried as Charles was supremely professional and... More

We had a great time on the Bay tour. We really lucked out with the weather and enjoyed every minute. We especially liked being way out beyond the bridge seeing up and down the coast. We also liked going way around to the south section near the ball field which was new territory for all of us. We kept peppering... More

Charles is an excellent guide, smart, friendly, and experienced. The two of us (one long-time resident and one occasional visitor to SF) learned a lot, while getting to see the Bay from fresh angles.

Did the 90 minutes Bay tour with Charles. We were lucky it was a dry and sunny day though, the foul weather gear was appreciated and kept us nice and warm. We found the boat dock easily behind the aquarium and Charles gave us a warm and friendly welcome. There are public restrooms close by. We saw all the key... More
