The range of tours offered by Bay Voyager include viewing historic ships, visiting former mooring sites of abandoned gold rush ships, and experiencing active estuaries populated by cargo ships and tug boats. You’ll see the San Francisco waterfront, cruise under the Golden Gate Bridge, around Alcatraz, Under the Bay Bridge to the Port of Oakland, past AT&T Park (Home to the San Francisco Giants) and Back to Pier 39. While Bay Voyager does have specific routes, deviation is an integral part of the experience, making each adventure an engaging and exhilarating encounter.According to owner and captain, Charles Jennings, “we feel there is a need to provide more intimate and individualized tours that travel closer and give more in depth guided tours. By being in a small and agile vessel, guests can have an up close and personal adventure while traveling to all corners of the always-fascinating bay.” « less

By chance we took this ride and the experience was awesome. The captain was very entertaining and humble. Sea lions, golden gate bridge, evergreen vessel, alcatraz views were truly amazing. And best part of the trip was bumpy ride with cool speed and huge waves. A must have experience in pier 39!!

As a local San Franciscan, this boat ride is now my favorite tourist attraction to do here in The City! The friendly and knowledgable Captain Charles took a group of us on a wonderful ride around the bay, giving us a nice history of the area and stunning views of the City. We were so close to Alcatraz and rode... More

I had so much fun on the Bay Voyager tour! Captain Charles is a super friendly and outgoing tour guide with plenty of knowledge of the bay and San Francisco. I definitely suggest going when the Giants are in town and going for a trip to McCovey Cove. This tour is a must do for tourists in The City.

Our adventure on the beautiful San Francisco Bay could not have been more exciting, fun and insightful! Charles has so much experience and it felt very safe. A perfect combination of a thrilling ride and being in nature amongst seals, kite surfers and pelicans. We took a tour from Fischerman's Warf to Golden Gate Bridge and went underneath it to... More

Wow!! Captain Charles took us on an unforgettable journey to wave good bye to our brother & husband as he started the 5th leg of the Clipper Race Around the World. We were up close and personal as the Clipper tacked under the Golden Gate Bridge. It was an incredible once in a life time event for us. We highly recommend... More

Our son Sam is taking part in the Clipper race. Bay Voyager took us alongside the parade of sail to the race start and beyond, allowing us to share the moment when Sam's boat Derry-Londonderry passed under the Golden Gate bridge. The feeling of experiencing this unique moment was indescribable so thank you for giving us the opportunity to treasure... More

I can't recommend this experience enough, especially if you or your kids are prone to boredom on the normal sightseeing boat rides. First off, Capt. Charles has years of commercial experience and considers the safety of his passengers before anything else. We rode by a paddle boarder and his dog. The man had a flotation vest but the dog did... You get protective gear, and it will serve you well! You will get the spray of the Bay, and will bounce on the waves for an exciting ride! Go on a day when the sun is out, and you will be rewarded with wonderful views around the Bay. The boat carries may be a dozen peaole, so it is a... More

I bravely took my daughter and 10 of her 14-year-old friends on the Bay Voyager for her birthday on a Sunday in early June. From the start Captain Charles made us feel we were in good hands, from the donning of foul-weather gear to getting settled on the boat to venturing into the waters off Jack London Square in Oakland,...
