Description: Bay Voyager is happy to announce the opening of our new location at Pier...
Bay Voyager is happy to announce the opening of our new location at Pier 39 in San Francisco! The range of tours offered by Bay Voyager include viewing historic ships, visiting former mooring sites of abandoned gold rush ships, and experiencing active estuaries populated by cargo ships and tug boats. You’ll see the San Francisco waterfront, cruise under the Golden Gate Bridge, around Alcatraz, Under the Bay Bridge to the Port of Oakland, past AT&T Park (Home to the San Francisco Giants) and Back to Pier 39. While Bay Voyager does have specific routes, deviation is an integral part of the experience, making each adventure an engaging and exhilarating encounter.According to owner and captain, Charles Jennings, “we feel there is a need to provide more intimate and individualized tours that travel closer and give more in depth guided tours. By being in a small and agile vessel, guests can have an up close and personal adventure while traveling to all corners of the always-fascinating bay.”

We did the mid-day trip at the end of June, and it was perfect! Captain Charles has a clear love for this city, and it comes across in his passion for sharing the history and highlights of San Francisco. I am so happy we had the pleasure of spending this time on the bay.

Had a great experience on Bay Voyager, our host did a wonderful job touring us around the bay and providing us with a fun narrative. He entertained us with historical facts as well as other tidbits of information that kept us engaged. The ride itself was fun and exciting - an experience I definitely would have been sad to miss... We took the 6pm voyage. It was amazing. The weather was perfect. Captain Charles was knowledgeable, funny, and a great guide. We were super lucky and saw a couple of whales just past the Golden Gate Bridge. What a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone. It's not to be missed!!!

Our family of four really enjoyed the boat and tour. We felt safe at all times and really got close to the action. Capt Charles was a great host and really knew the Bay area. He also took us to places a bigger boat could not have went. We really enjoyed going out beyond the Golden Gate Bridge as well... More

Had a great time! Was a little cool and overcast during my tour, but definitely an experience I would like to try again sometime when I'm back in the Bay Area. Cannot recommend this tour enough. The experience is well worth the cost. When visiting San Francisco this tour is a must!

What a fantastic trip! From the moment we checked-in and met Captain Charles we knew we were going to have a blast. He was funny, professional, and made you feel both welcome and safe. Tip one: DRESS WARMLY Yes you'll get a little warm as you gear up and are getting on board, but as soon as you hit the... More

Charles was so knowledgeable and so friendly and helpful! We really loved this. The boat is awesome by itself and makes for a fun ride. It was a very informative overview of the bay and history of San Francisco. We highly recommend this!

Can't say enough about this fun and informative tour. A mix of thrill (racing across the SF Bay- woohoo!) and history of the bay area makes for a great 1.5 hour tour. By far the best boat tour in San Francisco!! Great for teens and the adventurous travelers.. I would (and my children agree) go again in a minute. So... More

Well, this was certainly one of the highlights of our trip to California! My partner and I were the only people booked on the trip but Charles very kindly took us out anyway for an absolutely wonderful exhilarating trip all around the bay, under the bridges etc and he told us so much of the history of San Fran and... Awesome! A great way to see the bay and San fran. Saw a whale! Went by AT n T park during a giants game...so cool. Looking up at GG bridge was breathtaking. Wished we could have circled alcatraz though. Charles makes this ride easy peasy but thrilling too. He provides all the wet gear but dress in layers and u... More
