The Golden Gate Park is worth a visit during the day and also during the night where at night you can buy tickets to visit the Museum. We ate a couple of hotdogs and visited the museum during the night while we also shared some drinks with a couple of friends. Pretty cool.

Golden Gate Park is a great city park with a number of attractions. The Botanical Garden is one of the best in the world with over 8,000 plants on a 55 acre site. There are lots of wooded areas, parks, statutes, fountains, lakes and the botanical garden is excellent. There are two museums in the park – the California Academy... More

From the park you can get very nice views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz island. I suggest to take some time, and do the walk from Fisherman's Warf or from Ghirardelli square, until the Bridge! If want (and like) there's the possibility of renting a bike! From Ghirardelli square to the Golden Gate Bridge is 5.4km.

Many choices within this park-multiple museums, a Japanese Tea Garden, a massive outdoor botanical garden, a flower conservatory, redwood forests, and many beautiful trails to discover and enjoy. While walking and biking is the best way to enjoy the park, there is a park transportation shuttle that you can also utilize to get from point to point. I highly recommend... More

A fabulous park that is great for families, couples, friends to do whatever they please. There are tons of open spaces to bring lunch, set up a volleyball net, throw a frisbee or any other outdoor activity. I live only a few blocks a way and I feel like I am still uncovering new things about this park. There are... More

Very surprised by the beauty and greenery in the heart of the city. What an amazing space and a privilege to see. Also four wonderful attractions set cheek by jowl; Japanese tea garden, science museum, art museum and botanical gardens. Parking was a nightmare for out of towners.

We rented bikes on Haight St and biked with our kids through the park to the Pacific Ocean, where we got lunch. It's about 4.5 miles wide. Saw the random bison within the park. Just a great place to go spend outdoors time (biking, walking, etc.) if you enjoy that.

GREAT Segway tour of Golden Gate Park. We had a guide that knew her stuff and was enthusiastic about the landscape and animals in the park. The only downside was the weather, it was freezing!

Love it. What a great and beautiful retreat for San Franciscans and visitors. We walked and walked to various sights. Around Stowe Lake and into the Japanese Tea Gardens Spent parts of two days there. However, Parking was horrendous, even the "Pay" parking lots were full.
