The Surrey Bikes look fun, but they are not!

This is a lovely, expansive park. We rented a surrey bike thinking they looked so fun. We were wrong. It was so hard to pedal, even for three grown women. At one point we had to... read more

This is a lovely, expansive park. We rented a surrey bike thinking they looked so fun. We were wrong. It was so hard to pedal, even for three grown women. At one point we had to get out and push. I am sure we looked hysterical and the whole situation had us a laughing so hard I don't know how... More

If you have time, you should definitely check out the Golden Gate Park. It has a large territory and comprises a number of interesting places: the Golden Gate Bridge and surrounding area, Japanese Tea Garden, Botanical Garden, De Young Museum, Science museum and others. You can spend several days easily to explore it. If you don't have much time, you... More

An immense park with something for everyone. Likely best to explore on a bike because of the size. But gardens, museums, sports venues, ponds and a wonderful collection of flowers and trees. Unexpected surprises were the buffalo and windmills.

great views, beaches. A must stop when taking a trip to CA. The day we traveled to the Muir woods and beaches we did not have cell phone service. They do have maps and it is worth traveling around to see the views.

Amazing choices of things to do! The DeYoung museum is hosting a gorgeous Turner exhibit- a do not miss! Quite a nice collection of others art as well, Azmat, Hudson River School, overall a well thought out collection. The Tea Garden was lovely for its beauty, but the the tea was "meh".... I was expecting a "tea ceremony " but... More

We loved this park, which housed the conservatory of flowers, DeYung museum and Cal Academy Sciences museums. We spent hours touring the park and the various museums, all conveniently within walking distance of each other. They even had a skate park which my teens liked. The park is very clean and the day we went it was walking day only... More

We walked through the park to get to the SF botanical garden. Nice play area for kids! Loved the layout and design as well as the green rope/bungle tower. Many of the areas of the park are nice. Better signage, cheaper bike rentals, and more short cuts would be nice. We rented a 4 person bike car to See the... More

We came with our two young children to bike around the park. We entered on the East side of the park, about in the middle if looking at a map. There were so many homeless people (around 30 in three different groups) hanging around the entrance, we did not feel safe waiting for the bike rental place to open. I... More
