HUGE place with many things to do

This is a lovely place to visit. One can spend a day or more here. Miles of walking trails, and museums, gardens….even free concerts.

We rented bikes with our teenagers and rode from end to end. We stopped in the japanese tea garden and it was lovely. It was a great way to see the whole park without sacrificing our feet. There were many people out and about enjoying the great weather.

There is a lot to this park including museums and activities. A great place to cycle through or just relax. Tip: You can enter the de Young Museum free of charge to go to the observation deck on the top level where you will enjoy a great view of the City.

I must say that biking up to the park was quiet a work out and my friend had to get out and push his bike few times as the hills are extremely steep. I managed better as I'm an avid and more experienced biker. It was all worth as the park is simply breathtaking! Must see

I liked everything about this park. It is huge so give yourself time there, especially if you are going to the museum as well.

The park is huge and very quiet, you will not be bothered by many people. Plenty of great views of the skyline and shore

We walked through the park and went to the Japanese Tea Garden. We had some tea and snacks at the tea house and really enjoyed trying a variety of things. The kids also enjoyed the garden, climbing the very tall bridge and watching the koi swimming in the water. It was a hit!

We went to Golden Gate Park on our last day and had just a few hours to spend here, which was a huge bummer! We both want to return to spend some significant time here. It was recommended to not miss the Japanese Tea House, which was just stunningly beautiful. I wish we had had time to go through the... More
