the park is beautiful and paths are easily walkable. Great place to ride a bike too. I walk there daily when I'm in San Francisco. I usually stop in at the De young Museum in the Cafe for a snack and then stroll around Stowe Lake and look at all the ducks and turtles.

this is an entire days trip. The park is HUGE. there is the science museum there too, which is worth the visit. There is also a cute little lake you can rent row boats and pedal boats on. We rode bike to the park and around and it was so pretty.

This is a beautiful park with lots of bustling activity all the time. Make time to enjoy a traditional cup of tea and stroll through the Japanese tea garden.

Probably want to give this a miss......it's just a park. There is so much more to see. Lucas studio's is great to look at even if you can't get in. The pier is a must also.

I went with my family and really enjoyed the day at the park. The Japanese Tea Garden was lovely as well as the Botanical garden. Bring your wallet as all sites have fees for entry.

So much to do in the park including gorgeous gardens, amazing science museums and a wonderful lake. The botanical gardens were amazing with different areas laid out well. The museum was fantastic and I wish we had more time to explore, but we saw the aquarium and the "green" roof.

Golden Gate Park is a wonderful part of San Francisco. It is easily accesible from downtown via a bus which runs all the way to Ocean Beach at the very end of the park. We had a nice lunch at the Beach Chalet Brewery & Restaurant - there's a sampler set of craft beer if you're game - at a... More

Golden Gate Park is so huge, you need a couple of days to explore. It's beautiful, and it has it's own kids section with picnic tables for birthday parties. Parking though is hit or miss, it's best to get there early on the weekends so you can get a good spot. Also, they have walking trails and biking trails so... More
