Took a hop on hop off bus through this park to Lands End. This is a credit to the man who made it his life's work to plant thousands of trees from all over the world. Every tree has been planted here by him as there was none here before. A great place to either take a walk or drive... More

My husband and I stayed near the park on our recent trip to San Francisco, so we were able to spend a few mornings walking around in the park before the shops opened in Haight Ashbury and other places nearby. A great park for relaxing in the middle of the city. There were also lots of bikers and joggers, so... More

The park is huge, with a lot of variety. It doesn't really measure up to Central Park in NYC in terms of the experience though. It's also a bit out of the way from most of the main touristic spots, which may explain why it wasn't packed. The sections of the park we checked our were very nice, and since... More

I have been to this park on several of my trips to SFO but I had no idea that there were Bison. I was very excited to find this out. That's kind of the beauty of this place. so many hidden treasures. most areas of the park are fine for walking and no need to be scared. But not sure... More

Not only is it a park, but you may find endless entertainment on the weekends: the drum session, the roller skating, all the people and of course, the boutanic gardens, etc.

Great park with many different things to do (ie: Japanese Gardens, Conservatory, etc.). Should be on your "to do" list + seeing Golden Gate bridge, Land's End, downtown, wharf, etc.

There are so many beautiful parts to this park, and even museums. But keep in mind that this is still an urban park. While taking in many of the sights, we caught sights of an interesting cast of characters watching us from behind trees, usually on wooded hills. As such, I would not feel comfortable walking through here alone during... More

You must visit the Golden Gate Park whenever you visit SF. Whether you like walking around, having a bike tour or relaxing at the Japanese tea garden you'll have a great time.
