We biked, ran, dropped in on an antique paper show and had a great picnic lunch in the park. This is one of my favorite parks in the U.S.

Golden Gate Park is huge. There are so many things to see. The rose gardens are beautiful. Leave enough time to see every thing and pack a lunch.

Really awesome part with plenty to see. Recommend the conservatory for price and beauty of plants. Science Museum is really nice, but very expensive (find a coupon).. Japanese Tea Garden is very nice and worth seeing, but you may have to wait for a seat in the tea house.. The park is bordered on both sides with great restaurants that... More

Took the segway tour to see the park and that is the best way. The park is huge and walking would be an all day attraction. The tour guides on the segway tours are a blast and give you all need to know about what you see in the park and are always ready to give as much info as... More

Happened across the Golden Gate Park Band entertaining in the theater. Wonderful discovery! There were a few food trucks too. Lovely.

We have visited the Academy of Sciences a few times since we returned to the Bay Area to be full time residents again. It had been years, but the Academy had always been a favorite from before. In the interim a fantastic redo had been performed. The aquarium is outstanding with a much expanded collection, large tanks, and realistic displays.... More

We spent about an hour walking around the Park after a visit to the California Academy of Sciences. This made for a very nice respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. The trees and plantings are beautiful and there is some wonderful people-watching to be had.

Theres is so much to see and do here. I recommend renting some bikes (we only knew about these at the day's end). We did see the skulls exhibitions in California Academy and spent the last hour or so in the Japanese Garden. The only thing that spoiled the tranquillity were people searching in bins looking for plastic bottles.

We were shown around the island by a business friend. We went through this park which seemed to go on forever, full of natural beauty, you can see why people just love San Francisco

We bike here with our kids and grandkids. They also love the Japanese Gardens and the museums. Always something to see and do in any type of weather. You can even rent paddle boats on the lakes.
