Kathy is a great tour guide, and talked and walked us through the history of the Castro district. Every one of our group of six loved the tour. Highly recommend.

A must do to hear the history of the LGBT community. The in depth knowledge of Kathy is great. The walk through the Castro with the history and stories brings to life the past. I highly recommend this tour.

Really enjoyed the tour today - Kathy really knows the area and she's really passionate about the Castro. Although i'd been to the Castro before, i'd never done a tour before - and I really felt like I learned a lot. It's an early start, but worth it.

Kathy was so lovely and knowledgeable. This tour was worth every single penny and highly recommended. I can spend a whole day writing about how fabulous this experience was, but I think it would be better for those of you rising SF to see for yourself. Don't think twice......book a tour with Kathy and I can guarantee you'll have a... More

I definitely list this as one of my fondest memories from a month-long trip to America. Kathy was so friendly and knew so much about the history of the area and the community. She was clearly a part of... More

Staying in The Castro

Neighborhood Profile
The Castro
A flourishing commercial area that acts as San Francisco's LGBT community center and cultural heart, the Castro is a neighborhood welcome to everyone. As one of the first predominantly LGBT neighborhoods in the United States and currently its largest, it remains one of the epicenters of activism in the nation. Grand theaters and glitzy shops now compete with bars and fashionable eateries for attention, drawing visitors from around the world to the bright rainbow flag acting as its beacon.
