we did the tour on the saturday before halloween and the tour was packed! it was hard to keep everyone together between the various locations - even though you don't walk very far during the tour. the hardest part for me was that our guide kept going in and out of her vampire character. it was a bit distracting but... We thought this would be interesting. An older woman in her 60s calls herself Mina Parker. The stories are silly and bear no resemblance to reality or history. We froze our tails off. Save your money.

The Vampire Tour of San Francisco is a blast! The tour is lead by Mina Harker who makes history a lot of fun to learn! She combines true San Franicsco history with fun vampire lore and humor! My friends and I had a great time on this tour!

Bottom line: the tour guide lost 6 customers in the first 40 minutes (which was about 25% of the group). Our guide was dressed and made up well but ruined the illusion before the tour even started - don't know about you but I like my vampires aloof and mysterious not schmoozy and talking about their human ailments.
