Amazing place! The food stalls were fantastic. Would have loved to try all the foods there, especially the Hog Island Oyster bar, but the line up was ridiculous.

Lots of fruit and vegetables on display, as well as other locally produced food items, with plenty of samples to try. Well-worth a browse inside and outside the Ferry Building and you can grab something to eat while you are there - there's plenty of choice. We walked to Coit Tower from the far side and then down the stairs... More

For a foodie it is like you have died and gone to Heaven. The produce is amazing both outside and inside, the street food of such a quality you want to quit your job and move to SF just to have this close by.

Every little store , restaurant , coffee shop is so beautifully designed! You can taste cheese, oils ... Buy organic and fresh fruits and vegetables...and have amazing food there! Had lunch at Cow (something) . So good!!! The place is clean and not so packed with people.

I could've stayed here for a lot longer had we not had to get to our Alcatraz reservations. I would go here every weekend if I lived here for the great farmers market, food vendors & shops! Definitely recommend making it a part of your visit & allow yourself some time.

The food vendors are incredible. The options are pretty much limitless. The produce is amazing. I can understand what a Mediterranean climate is in that they can grow so many things with such a long growing season.

An interesting array of produce and artisan products. Lots of opportunity to taste before you buy. A good mix of producer stalls and permanent shops. There were a lot of people when we were here over July 4th weekend, but there was plenty of room for everyone. A highlight for us was the mushroom stall - so many varieties!

I visited the Ferry Plaza Farmer's Market on a Saturday morning, right when they opened. It was easy to get here from the Mission District where I was staying, and I took the BART train to The Embarcadero station and the market was a short walk from there. There was so much organic fruits and vegetables, which was amazing! There... More

The Ferry Plaza Farmer Market has such a wide variety of unique goods. I’ve been to farmer markets and they are plain and boring but at the Ferry Plaza, the items are unique and very tasty. Some items can get a bit pricey but it is San Francisco. The building itself is gorgeous and very unique initself. We were a... More

Best time to come is last hour or so. yes things will be sold out, but you get more personal service cause less people at the stands but you get some deals and last month I had some of the best strawberries I have had in years from a vendor packing up.
