Every Saturday there is a farmer's market at the Ferry Building. The stalls are full of the freshest fruit, vegetables, flowers and preserves, all sold by the people who grew them. There is also an amazing mobile rotisserie - the queue for its roast chicken sandwiches is always the longest in the market. This is where locals shop - it... More

It's a nice place where they sell anything from kitchen appliances, ice cream, cheese, wine, food and there are restaurants here as well. It is just by the piers so when we get our ice cream we went outdoors to walk. Although the sun was shining in summer but it feels like spring or winter outdoors because there is this... More

The was our first stop after dropping of our bags and headed out to see Frisco. It was lunch time, a lot of food stalls were outside. Lots of locals so it did not seem so touristy. I liked the vibe.

Really enjoyed these markets - in a great setting and lots of local produce and wares. Would be easy to get into excess baggage territory here. Very busy, but worth the visit.

Definitely an interesting experience but for me, this was not a must. You have Peet’s coffee here, oyster bar, lots of vendors selling local food (mushrooms, honey etc.). it is very crowded, so be careful and hold your child’s hand if you are traveling with kids. I would recommend San Franciso Fish Company for a quick bite of fresh seafood.... More

Go hungry and enjoy the day! Lineups get crazy as the day goes on so it's a good idea to go early. The building I'd easily accessible by walking or taking public transit.

What a wonderful way to spend an hour on a summer afternoon! I love farmer's markets... The sights, sounds, smells and tastes. This one has all that. Growing season at home (Ohio) is not yet giving much to eat or brag about. It was a treat to see beautiful flowers and taste fresh fruit, and the slice of peach and... More

One of the best farmers markets I've seen - great selection of produce and food items. Don't go there full because you will eat

One of the best farmer's markets I've ever been to! Just an overall great atmosphere. The variety of vendors was impressive. The people were friendly.

I'm so glad we were in San Francisco over the weekend so that we could go to the farmer's market. I bought a pint of strawberries and my daughter and I nibbled on them for the rest of the morning. They were so juicy and sweet. And so were the bing and ranier cherries. The fresh pastries were delicious. The... More
