The building is majestic and a symbol of the wharf! I enjoyed the market and the food stands and the view of the bay!

Visited over the 4th of July weekend. Not too crowded. So many choices too bad we couldn't take any back with us. Must have the chilequilas!

Lots of variety and uniqueness bundled into one amazing location. Weather permitting, great way to laze away a morning. Everything is top quality and very fresh, but prices are up there. Still, costs nothing to window shop.

Love the variety of fruits and vegetables. Plus there are cheeses, olive oil, flowers and spices. Then there is the to go foods like porchetta sandwich my favorite. Don't forget to walk through Ferry Bldg as lots of interesting shops.

My husband and I stumbled across this farmers market and what a great surprise it was! They have just about anything that you could want to buy! From fresh veggies and fruits to meats and cheeses!! It's truly amazing! We bought some chocolates, granola, and fresh fruit that was absolutely wonderful!!! I recommend going hungry because there are several places... More

The Saturday morning Farmer's Market (FM) is a very popular SF event for tourists and locals. If you are visiting and flying into SFO, you can skip the rental car, traffic and parking nightmares by taking BART right from SFO. Pick a hotel close to Market Street (where BART stops in the City) and either walk to the waterfront or... More

Such a bustling market, but to me the attraction is the setting. What genius using the historical ferry building for all the shops. You can buy what you want and sit in the back with a beautiful view of the Oakland Bay Bridge. I like the way that there are charts at the entrances showing the early days of the... More

Great area for unique food items. Ice cream was very delicious. Try to get there early in the day, as I noticed some shops sold out of their daily specials. It's a fun place to visit...very crowded. Expect long lines at the popular food spots. Restrooms were convenient and well maintained.

I love markets, and this one it's really nice. You have little stores where you can buy cheese, mushrooms, wine, etc.
