Never miss the opportunity to visit this market while in the city. You name it, they have got it. From breads, cheeses, farm produce, flowers, meat, poultry, fish, pasty, ice cream, specialty grocery, wine, cookware and restaurants. Wonderful place to visit, have lunch and enjoy the fresh produce. Spoke with one of the vendors who says they have to pass... More

If you ever wonder why SF restaurants are so good, then just take a walk thru the farmers market at the Ferry Building on the Embarcadero. The variety of fresh, locally grown food products on display is almost overwhelming. For the visiting tourist, who might regret not being able to buy a bunch of stuff to cook, there are several... This old port building now contains a market with a number of stalls where small and artisan food-makers can sell their stuff. There are lovely stalls for cheese, meat, salami/hams, fish, olives, oils and so on. All very tasty, but none of it cheap - buy some bread, ham and cheese to make yourself a lunch and it'll cost as... More

Attn Travelers: This is a no brainer thing to do alone, together, or with a family. So much to look at, taste at. Outside vendors or inside the Ferry Building. I never get tired of coming here. Across the street is the setup for craft vendors. The terminal for ferries is located here also. It is very easy to do... More

I always enjoy visiting the Saturday market here. There are a number of merchants with a great selection of produce. Most of the vendors have samples which is a fun way to try something different. Every time I visit there is always a fruit or vegetable that I am not familiar with. One can pick up produce, cheese, seafood and... More

Ferry Plaza, both inside and out is just about the best place on earth for food fanatics. The outside farmers market on Saturdays features great vegetables and fruits, though the smoked fish stand is incredible. Inside Hog Island Oysters, Cow Girl Creamery, Rancho Gordo Beans. There's great bread, a wine shop, chocolates. Everything you could need for a great picnic!... More

This is a great farmer's market. This market offers an incredible selection of fresh vegetables, meats, honey, confections and fresh flowers. It would be easy to spend many hours here. There is a lot to look at and buy- bring plenty of cash.

The ferry plaza farmers market is a year round foodies delight, All types of food restarants and specialty places. Outside daily are the fresh prepared "fast food" booths San Francisco style. I always take a serenity break at the Imperial Tea room...ever type of tea on Earth. The tea is served traditionally from a sipping cup. Bon Appetit!
