Despite the traffic, the tour guide Ned (SF) gave us an informative, funny and interesting tour which would've otherwise been dull.

Enjoyable and informative but a couple of suggested changes would enhance the experience. 1) the monotonous music played between recorded commentary eventually drove me crazy 2) the brochures would have been helpful if only it better described what we might see at each stop so we could decide if we wanted to hop off. Very little was explained by recorded... More

We booked our tour online because of an online deal. We printed out their map, packed our things, and were on our way to San Francisco. Living 350 miles away, and not a local, was obviously my first mistake in choosing this company. The idea of these types of tours is to get on and off the bus at any... More

We visited San Francisco for the first time and wanted a way to get an overview of the city on our first day. I didn't realise at the time that there would be a live tour guide on the bus, I thought it was really just going to be a method of transportation. Not only did the guide Stefan know... More

Having used the Big Bus Tour on several trips before I booked with them. From start to finish they were excellent. I bought the 48 hours pass for $50 which also includes walking tours and a night tour, well worth the money. The staff were extremely helpful and polite and really made you feel welcome. The tour itself is only... More

Over the past few years I have used these Hop On Hop Services in at least 8 countries. I find them the best way to get your bearings in a new city and to see what you would like to visit with more time. They are also excellent if you have limited time so for example, when faced with a... More

Bought the 48 hour package and it worked out great. The extra walking tours and Salsalito tour made it worth the costs. Rode four different buses over the two days. First bus had a young black girl as a guide who was excellent. One was audio headsets only which was nice once you found a seat that had a working... More

We chose Big Bus here because of the great experience we had with Bug Bus in New York. Unfortunately it was well below what we expected. We took the main tour on the first day and it was a poor. There was no live guide and it was a recorded message (GPS activated I suspect). The bus driver seemed to... More
