This was a great class. 8 Students, 2 guides. We began with basics about the different features of mountain bikes and the various settings. Then we moved on to switchback turn skills and braking exercises. Then we went our on the trail for a few hours. A great way to get into MTB and a great way to learn a... More

The sports basement staff are so knowledgable, friendly, helpful and patient. Anthony was wonderful and I had a great day and learned loads. Thank you, it was a pleasure and an inspiration to rid with you for the day.

The Sports Basement people are wonderful lovers of the outdoors - and boy, do they host well. The bike ride to Point Reyes and back to SF was well supported with a SAG car. Even when I got a flat tire, Lauren helped me out. The people you meet on the trip are of similar awesomeness. I will be going... More

SB did a fantastic job to organize the trip. It was very well planned, we were well taken care off and had a great time. This trip exceeded our expectation and some more. We would definitely be joining again in their future events.

I had an awesome time! I had climbed a little in gyms but this was way better and had some good variety of routes. I felt very safe.

Thank you to the best adventure guides I could have asked for on the Olema-Pt. Reyes bike/camping trip. From the ride to the food to the immense support and guidance led by Damon, Pete, Matt, Lauren, Diana, and Theo, the trip was, for lack of a better word—flawless. If you’re an outdoor junkie or a tourist visiting from out of... More

Great 2-day ride and camping adventure with very hospitable Sports Basement staff and easy going and fun participants. Two route options each day (short and long). Ride from SF Presidio to Olema Campsite in Point Reyes (loop back on second day). Excellent food and support. Worth the $$$.

I did a beginner mountain biking workshop last weekend and absolutely loved it. Sports Basement provided a high quality full-suspension mountain bike rental, and Darren, the instructor, was awesome. We learned a lot of great techniques, practiced in a workshop style, and completed a full loop ride around China Camp in Marin County. I felt totally safe and loved the... More

We found a pamphlet for the Sports Basement when we landed at the airport. We ended up using Sports Basement to rent our bicycles for the half-day. It cost us $15 per bicycle (including helmet and bike-lock) for 3 hours. We were able to rent basic bicycles, but they also had tandem bicycles and street bikes (bring your own Lycra!).... More
