SoSF is your #1 source for all things biking San Francisco. We know the city's best bike routes, especially the ones that go around the hills. We show you San Francisco's wild history and modern trends, including food, art, music, kooky local politics, and, of course, all things bicycles. Our guided bike tours focus on the city's neighborhoods and include: Unique history, diverse neighborhoods, Victorian architecture, public art, awesome bikes, & tasty local cuisine. Fun, friendly, local guides lead you through safe, bike-friendly routes that go around those infamous hills. Discounts for students, teachers, and military. We offer 3 guided tours in spring and 4 in summer: Heart of the City: 3-3.5 Hrs, $65/person, about 9 miles: Explore the city's interior neighborhoods including the Mission, Haight-Ashbury, and Civic Center. The Classic: 4.5-5 Hrs, $89/person, about 12 miles: Everything the Heart of the City has plus the Castro, SoMa, some additional stops, and a lunch break to taste delicious local cuisine. 7X7: 5.5-6 Hrs, $99/person, 17-18 miles with a stop for lunch. This tour is our epic day out on the bikes circumnavigating the city! The Bay Roller: (Summer only) 4.5-5 Hrs, $89/person explores the culture and history of San Francisco's northeastern neighborhoods and famous waterfront landscapes.

My wife and I like to do bike tours in cities we are visiting because we can cover more ground, see things from a different perspective and learn about the city from a guide. This tour was one of the best we've done. Our guide Vivek was very good and the tour was a good pace. We rested in the... More

These guys are amazing! All the staff were super attentive and helpful. Located in an up and coming area of San Fran, SoSF was the perfect start to my solo trip. Josh was so knowledgable; I learned more of the city's history than I'd anticipated. Both he and his colleagues made this tour such a joy. They went above and... More

This was the highlight of my trip! I am from the East Coast, and I wanted to experience Frisco like all the cyclists do in the city. And let me tell you, what a great experience it was! We were only two people on this tour, but that it made it all the more intimate. Josh was an awesome guide.... More

This summer it's 2 years ago we wiggled the streets of San Francisco. Our 2 daughters of 11 and 13 at that time are still talking about George. We had a wonderful time and got some great insights on living in this city. Hope to be back some day. PS. We visited in July 2013. Tripadvisor doesn't believe you can... More

Friendly, helpsome, interesting, fun! We can really recommend the tours! We did the Classic one day with guide. After that we rented bikes for 2 days with good discount, got good bike maps an tour suggestions so we could go by ourselves. We would like to come back!

Went to San Francisco for a work/getaway trip. Read reviews about the Streets of San Francisco before I arrived. Booked a bike tour and was so happy I did. Was a great way to see the city. Also my your guide Adam was very nice and knowledgable of the city. Great way to spend a few hours.

My sister booked this trip ahead of time and I'm so glad that she did. We went on a Wednesday and they sent us an email the day before letting us know what to prepare and that there would be a chance of rain. We got there around 15 minutes before our scheduled tour. The shop itself is in Hayes... More

Found this company with tripadvisor and have to say the reviews were on point. Josh was our guide and did a great job explaining the history and stories of the SF neighborhoods we saw, as well as showing us some beautiful views. Other things we saw that I didn't expect included some beautiful wall art and recommendations for coffee, food,... More

This was an amazing way to see the city! My husband and I did the Heart of the City tour our first day in San Francisco. I'm very glad we did because it allowed us to see several places and neighborhoods right away and we based the rest of our time in the city off of what we already saw.... More

Staying in Hayes Valley

Neighborhood Profile
Hayes Valley
Chock full of designer boutiques, art galleries, funky shoe stores, and great restaurants, it’s hard to imagine Hayes Valley once languished in the shadow of a major freeway. Its removal allowed for the creation of an attractive boulevard on Octavia Street with a community park at its center and dozens of trendy businesses to satisfy visitors looking for a stylish respite.
