Magic Bus. Magic Bus blends past and present in a psychedelic journey...

Magic Bus. Magic Bus blends past and present in a psychedelic journey through San Francisco's rich counter-culture history. This two-hour “trip” aboard a brightly painted vintage bus weaves a visual narrative of San Francisco from Beatniks to the Summer of Love and beyond! With retractable window screens and digital micro-projectors, Magic Bus uses innovative technology to create a mobile movie theater on a bus. See San Francisco through a new window of altered perception and historical context. Sing along to classic tunes with our hippie hostess. Flash peace signs to passers-by as bubbles swirl from the bus. Stroll through the grass in Golden Gate Park with a flower in your hair, all on your time-traveling adventure aboard Magic Bus!

Building on a 30 year history of original, site-specific productions, including the original Alcatraz Cell House Tour, Antenna Theater presents a new kind of tour experience- the Magic Bus!

We loved our trip back to the "Summer of Love" on the Magic Bus. Our hosts were energetic and inclusive. We sang along to the great songs of the era, and saw some key sights of the city. It was very interesting to learn the hippie history of SF. I would highly recommend this tour! My only regret is not... More

Most of the reviews compliment the guides of this tour, and I agree with that, but in the end, I think something is missing. The people who choose this tour will obvioulsy do it because they are either interested in the hippie movement or nostalgic about it, so the contributions to it should be at that level, not amateur info.... Had such a wonderful time on this tour. The guides and the bus were great, and the content was interesting. The tour also starts at an easy to find, central location.

In general, we prefer discovering our own travel paths, rather than joining group tours. That being said, I know that on our own, we couldn't have created any experience that would hold a candle to this well-orchestrated "trip" down Haight-Ashmemory Lane. The guides/cast are livin' it and sharin' it, the vibe is trippy and tie-dyed, the bus is a quirky... More

One of the more creative tours you will ever experience. Good fun and superbly choreographed. A wild romp back through time.

A step back in time. Wow - it was a lot of fun, laughter and singing! The tour guide-Serene Rain was great. Such a hippy! My daughter and I loved it. The bus was great and the commentary and movie clips were fantastic. Recommend this tour to anyone that loved the 60's.

My girlfriend suggested we take 'this trip' and it was totally fun! We had taken the 'normal' San Francisco tour bus trip the previous day, so this was a way to see San Francisco through the eyes of the 60's. The guide, who goes by the hippie name of "Serene Rain" (because SF needs rain desperately) was totally in character... More

Fantastic tour. Didn't expect it to be that wonderful. The LSD was great. Still trippin'. Loved every "Third Eye" moment.

I enjoyed the entire 60's experience! The tour guide was a very believable hippy, and lady bus driver was nice and welcoming. I got some great pics and enjoyed the history of "The Haight", the rocket blast was a trip, and the bus was far out, man. Our tour also received real daisies for our hair, fake LSD (peppermint candy),... More

This was an emotional trip back to when I was younger. This trip was amazing and our tour guide was nuts!!! She really embraced the era, she was shouting out the windows Love and Peace at everyone walking by. This made the trip even more fantastic. We had flowers in our hair. Would definitely recommend this to everyone.
