Fist of all let me start by saying I was worried about this as I have not ridden a bike for a long time but the tour was good, only 3 hills of which the first was the hardest. The others were much easier. The whole thing was ran very well from arriving and getting our bike to the tour... More

The bike fit and worked well. Riding over the Golden Gate Bridge was a great experience but don't expect to ride too swiftly as there are alot of pedestrians. There was only one side open for both directions for bikes and pedestrians so maybe this is not always such an issue. If you plan to bike to Golden Gate Park,... More

No problems. Bikes good, route good with few major hills. Great weather and a great day out... felt pretty knackered at the end so caught the no 7 bus from the embarcadero back upto height and popped the bikes on the front...

Definitely recommend hiring a bike from this company...... After checking with a number of rival companies they gave me the best price for a full day hire and when my wife had an unfortunate accident on the bike their staff showed a lot of care and concern for her. Thanks again ....excellent service.

Had an amazing experience due to an awesome tour guide. He was willing to stop wherever I wanted to take in the sights. Would highly recommend purely based on the service delivered by my guide!

The rental went smoothly. We did it online and saved 25% - so if you know when you want to go, this is a good way to do it. The guy who rented them to us was funny but not overly personable. Not that big of a deal. The bikes were great. We did tandems and rode across the bridge... More

Four of us rode around town, through the Golden Gate Park and across the Golden Gate Bridge, driving across the span made a marvelous ride. The excitement, the wind, and ease of the ride was enjoyable. We went into Sausalito and had a nice lunch and beverage before riding back to Pier 39 and around that area.

Staying in North Beach / Telegraph Hill

Neighborhood Profile
North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian ristorante come together to create the charming neighborhood of North Beach, once the stomping grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always suitable for younger visitors, few neighborhoods in the city exude as much European charm and style. Peruse a bookstore for the literature of Kerouac, Ferlinghetti and Ginsberg, grab some gelato and head to Washington Square for a perfect afternoon of people watching. Just east of North Beach, the hills and staircases of Telegraph Hill are a unique delight. At its peak, the art deco Coit Tower provides sweeping panoramic views of the bay and city. The beautifully landscaped Filbert Street Steps, a street too steep for a roadway, rewards those willing to hike uphill. Keep your ears open and you might even hear the squawk of the wild parrots who call this neighborhood home.
