I made an online reservation and payment for a their high end road bike the day before I wanted to go for a longer ride in the area north of Sausalito. When arriving, the online reservation made little difference and the registration process was a bit chaotic as it seemed a bit unusual for them to rent out the high... More

Biking the Bridge is fantastic, but with an Ebike with a bike chain running off, a battery that is empty halfway the trip and gears that do not work, it is no fun. Plus some information about the crazy situation at the ferry terminal would have been normal customer service.

Our tour guide was excellent in sharing information about the history of San Francisco. There were 3 hills, but very manageable. We took the ferry back from Sausalito; be sure and get a bike pass early and line up if you want to make a certain ferry as they only let so many bikes on the trip. That was the... More

No fuss- 2 families accomodated quickly without having booked. Our youngest had to use a bike that was too small because they'd run out of the next size up- but it was midday peak season, so fair enough. Bikes were in perfect condition.

The day before we rented the bikes, we passed by to ask some questions regarding crossing the Golden Gate Bridge. They helped us out with all our questions and concerns. They were very nice! They even handed us a $5.00 discount for each bike we rented the following day. We crossed the bridge and rode around SF for about 5... More

I have been to SF multiple times but never rode the bridge. From this bike rental shop to the bridge and back is a total of 12 miles with some challenging hills if you are not a crazy cyclist. My eight-yr-old daughter had to walk her bike a little bit but made it no problem. Be aware that experienced cyclists... More

The team were efficient and friendly. We hired a tandem which we took around the full 17 miles across Golden Gate bridge and around to the ferry. It was a lovely day and we had no hitches!

It was quick and easy to rent the bikes. The regular bikess were 15 speeds and worked great. The battery boosted bikes were a bit tricky.

Very nice staff. Efficient. Bikes all rode well. The ride across the Golden Gate Bridge to Salsolido is beautiful. Great photo oops. Definitely worth the money.

Staying in North Beach / Telegraph Hill

Neighborhood Profile
North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian ristorante come together to create the charming neighborhood of North Beach, once the stomping grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always suitable for younger visitors, few neighborhoods in the city exude as much European charm and style. Peruse a bookstore for the literature of Kerouac, Ferlinghetti and Ginsberg, grab some gelato and head to Washington Square for a perfect afternoon of people watching. Just east of North Beach, the hills and staircases of Telegraph Hill are a unique delight. At its peak, the art deco Coit Tower provides sweeping panoramic views of the bay and city. The beautifully landscaped Filbert Street Steps, a street too steep for a roadway, rewards those willing to hike uphill. Keep your ears open and you might even hear the squawk of the wild parrots who call this neighborhood home.
